Conor McGregor needs a warmup fight before he fights someone like Chandler. He is coming off a long layoff and major injury. Last time they gave him an aging Cowboy Cerrone.

This time I suggest they pit him against Joe Lauzon. Let's send Joe off with some well-deserved money and give Conor a chance to actually win.

Not sure why you think it's the same. He wasn't booked or supposed to fight anyone else other than Cerrone. He didn't "warm up" for anyone, Cerrone was his fight. It was a comeback fight not a tune up fight. The UFC does not have tune up fights.

Also, that was his actual return to MMA not a lay off. McGregor hasn't been fighting because he broke his leg not because he essentially left the sport like before.
