Warhammer 40k

Have anybody you games played Total War: Warhammer? Never played a Warhammer before and know nothing about the lore, but I'm willing to learn and I like the Total War series...

I played the pc games. Didnt play the recent total war version though
 
There's a new FPS called Space Hulk Deathwing that is based on the tabletop game with the same name.
 
Space wolves and grey knights fan here. Been reading the books since the 5th grade. Probably read 30 or so overall
 
I likes my games with pre-painted miniatures, so a lot of Warhammer is ghey.

Am digging Attack Wing D&D right now.

Orks are fun, their tech is weird but awesome. Eldars are kinda ghey, Dark Eldar are off-the-charts-ghey and Tau are for weaboos. Necrons got all weird with the introduction of dynasties and shit.

The orks are awesome...love their evolution in war (pre and post heresy saw some serious tech)
Eldar are the arrogant cool kids
Darkneldar are a bit emo but love the backstabbing
Tau are the only faction evolving tech (at this rate they should rule by 50k)
Necrons are a bit overpowered ..the new lore is cool
Tyranids make 0 sense as they never seem to lose much biomass despite using up emergy moving and spawning and taking damage etc
 
Fall of Cadia was interesting, good to see the story is moving forwards.
 
There was another thread about this and a huge shit storm occurred because Star Wars universe vs war hammer.

Yep some hardcore were worried that they would do an 'end times' like with regular warhammer but gw have said that aint happening
Current story arc has eldar from all factions trying to bring ynnead forward to fight slaneesh
Some eldar pro some against
