What happened to the Warhammer 40k series that was supposed to be on Amazon from the creator of Man in the High Castle?

They gave all chaos gods "good sides"

Nurgle is the most obvious. He feeds off of the despair mortals have towards death of life, but also the hope they derive from the life that springs from death. He welcomes all and only desires that the wheel keep turning. He's described as a very grandfatherly and jovial individual,

Khorne is "honourable"(martial pride, warrior code etc)enemies must be killed in direct fair combat to gain approval and not stabbed in back, even better if they stronger than you.

Tzeentch pushes people to improve their lifes and change things

Slaneesh is... well slaneesh lets leave it at that lmao

Slaneesh is transfriendly and supports diversity ! Probably the only one in the old world huh

Love Warhammer. I wish there was more strategy to the game itself, but I absolutely love painting them. I don't even play, I just paint a few space marines every now and again. It's daunting to even try to get into reading the books because there is so much out there now.

Regardless, I'll watch this.

Ever try the audiobooks? I listen to them at 1.5 speed and can got through them relatively quick.

Don't see any mention of the story/saga they might cover. I would assume Cavill would play Guilliman with his dreamy jaw line and facial structure.

I've always thought that the WH40k lore would feel unbelievable clunky if transported to a live-action series. Just the bombastic way your average Ultramarine talks would feel pretentious and stilted. Very easy to make it all seem silly. There is a reason why most Warhammer animations are either very short or are very action/mission focused. Making a more traditional series in the vein of House of Dragon or Rings of Power would be pretty darn difficult imo.

This is a good point, and this actually plays out in the books, where it focuses a lot on the battle(s) and describing the characters/demons and machines/ships in detail to make up the bulk of the writing. And the dialogue can be very bland with out much character (since most of the characters are similar!)

Did you see the recent version of All Quiet on the Western Front? It was pretty intense, heavy focus on the battle scenes and depicting war. It was a long movie, 2 hour 30min or so, and was pretty hard to sit through at once simply cause of the non-stop battle scenes. But breaking it down into a series could work, especially a few well done scenes mixed in to convey the lore.

Throw in a few cut scenes of the fleet from orbit, possible orbital bombardment and there you go.

edit: in All Quiet on the Western Front, they had a scene where the tanks started to roll through finally that was pretty awesome IMO, and would fit very well with like the Mechanicus (Battle mechs/tanks), and such... or even Ultra Marines

Edit 2: found the tank scene

Guilliman — as with all Primarchs wouldn’t translate to screen very well

Agreed, even an ultra marine would be hard to pull off as a main character due to size and scaling. Agree with what others said that an inquisitor or like a Ciaphas Cain type character would be easiest to translate to screen

lol, the parasites running those organizations and advocating for them just discovered an IP they haven't infested...yet

She'd make an excellent Bequin alongside Cavill as Eisenhorn, adding another big name.

That'd be fun. Eye candy Ana de Armas playing Alizebeth Bequin, and every other character in the show just being disgusted with her all the time. Shut up Meg!

For those with Warhammer TV, their latest animation, Iron Within, is out and is by far their best effort so far.

I bet all best space marines are going to be women
