In addition to the guy already mentioned, there's Zank, Lead, waigu--something, JTF, Hunter, Denter, Blackened, theGreatA, nationalacrobat, Oldshadow, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some good ones. Note that I have some huge disagreements with some of them (Blackened and Denter in particular hold views I consider sickening) and don't necessarily endorse their conduct. They can frustrate me. Etc. But they're all pretty reasonable and generally capable of having good discussions.

I think the forum is divided two ways. Ideology and posting style. There are posters here who probably align closer on the spectrum but completely dislike each other because of the way they conduct themselves in the forum.

There should be a "super like" button that you get to only use once a month for stuff like this.

Blackened was fantasizing about throwing liberals out of helicopters because the top tax rate was too high or some crazy shit like that recently, but I still consider him to be more of an ally than someone like Anung, who says he is left-leaning.

He's pro death penalty and pro gun. Though, if the Trump phenomenon is the modern model of conservativism then he's probably not.

An additional sign of him leaning right is this post. The immediate comparison to communism is a dead give-away.

I think the swing of the party to trump has made it very difficult as there was somewhat of a split there during the election. Seems like the party is going to head that direction now through since he won

Blackened has to be respected for the fact he actually tries to make an argument about multiculturalism in those threads compared to the flood of empty shit posts who believe the same opinion. You could have a 180 degree opinion from me and I can easily end up liking you if your posts gives me something to think about. If anything, I'm more likely to get mad at someone holding similar views but posting absolute shit cause I feel like it reflects on the holders of that viewpoint.

You checked out when I checked in. I still feel like you hang out here, if anything to mod. I think a couple years ago we had a real variety of posters. We didn't just have politics and religion in here. That Jan Pok abd Neitsche posters were good examples where though most of the time I was like wtf, they were unique. Today it is really polarized to really rigid viewpoints and people see no problem with it.

I really liked GermanBJJ and Akuma Kanji as well when they were around.

and Kingstu as well.

Does Clmetal still post here?

I actually like James Bomb too even though I don't really agree with him much. He was pretty entertaining.

The Debate league sucks because It's too hard to locate the actual debate. It should be posted in the usual area, and just tell people to gtfo

The actual debate has been stickied for the duration of the debate, and then replaced with the voting/results thread (thanks @Lead, good way to do it). The voting/results thread links to the debate, though I can make that clearer. If you have a way to make it more audience-friendly, please lemme know.

I think it should be locked except for the principals, until question time. I thought it went pretty well overall, though.

Next time I'll just keep them both up while the judging part is done to avoid the confusion

I'd be more dedicated to finding it if I cared about the topic. Two guys blathering on about god reminds me of myself 10 years ago, and I'd rather not revisit that embarrassing ass.
