There wasn't shit for bbq in the Raleigh area. I moved to NC excited about bbq and left totally let down. Everyone said it was a bbq State, but there wasn't shit in the city. I went to a place that was supposedly top ten in the area and it was a god damned tragedy.

I was born and raised in Texas and currently live in Austin. The bbq here is on point. If this thread doesn't get dumped or moved, I'll post pictures of the place I go to regularly.

Now, I did taste some good bbq on the way to Raleigh. Some great sausage in Memphis at Central BBQ and awesome plate at Luela's in Asheville, NC.

God, I love Asheville.
