His wrestling too. No sprawl half the time.

That I more understand. With his athleticism, it makes sense that he would just commit to his strikes and try to power out of takedowns instead of sprawling and chancing it in the scramble. But to have that strategy, you have to have at least an average gas tank or plan or conserving energy. In this fight, Ngannou blew his load all over Stipe's stomach in the first two minutes.

It's definitely gut check time for him. He has so much room to improve his grappling and he's clearly got the aptitude for it. I think the next guy who fights him is going to die IRL.

Yeah, unless he's Bobby Bouchet dumb, he'll get to a better camp. I have no idea where he's training now.

Maybe Greg Jackson can take him in and turn him into the most dominant and absurdly boring fighter in MMA history ala George St. Pierre.

Also, @HomerThompson, Cain Velasquez in an iron lung still 50-45's either of these guys.

I doubt that very much. I give Stipe maybe a 55% chance against Cain if it's Cain's next fight, and whoever wins, I'd bet on the fight being very competitive. Cain probably can do the same thing to Ngannou that Stipe did, but he could also get flattened (I mean obviously, but I'm saying that it's not that unlikely--maybe 1/4 or something).

I'm shocked that Stipe won.

The fight went pretty much exactly as I expected, though I thought there was a chance that Ngannou could KO Stipe early (and he came fairly close in the first half of the first round). I think the pre-fight argument was mostly about whether Ngannou would blast him out or get dominated and either outcome seemed at least reasonably likely. What was your expectation?

I expected a first round KO by Francis. Stipe leaves himself open to a lot of shots, and against someone as powerful as Francis, that's a recipe for getting knocked out.

Trump's tweets when a Mexican-American with a Brown Pride tattoo wins the heavyweight championship will be delicious.

Also, on that note, Cain looks hella white.

Being white and being Mexican are far from mutually exclusive. Canelo looks more “white” than like 85% of Caucasians easily.

I am fuckin hungover. One shouldn't post on Facebook when wasted. It doesn't matter as much here because I don't know you guys irl. But the people on FB I do and may run into many of them. lol. Like the local cop I called a coward and told to eat shit.

This government shutdown will probably make the market drop. maybe a good buy day

I found this Pop Secret caramel flavored popcorn. I'm not going to say it's amazing, because it's not. But it's not bad. It's definitely good enough for this thread.

I've always pondered what a bacon flavored popcorn would be like. It's gotta exist somewhere in America.
