Are bullet-points of the story too much to ask for?
Kinda, lol. That size of magazine is probably illegal. There's a really messed up dude who likes to contact people's work and occasionally their family members.

Who was the dude who posted pictures of his food and bragged about being so rich that he could afford having fish twice in a week? Was that Hans Gruber?
That's fucking hilarious, I forget who though.

Good enough.

And yeah, Hans posted his fish dinner.

So then what are you doing with the pickles?

Sounds like the guy is from the 18th century. There is a story about immigrants in America or somewhere else. A father was writing back home to relatives in the old country and said it is so great here, we eat meat 2-3 times a week. His son said, "But dad, we eat meat like 7 days a week." And his father said, "I know son, but they would never believe that."

I am learning more about monetary policy. The Gold Standard is the stupidest fuckin thing I ever heard of. Can't believe anybody supports this.

Some people think The Wizard of Oz is about this. The slippers weren't ruby, that is Hollywood. The slippers are silver. This is brilliant if true:

Dorothy—naïve, young and simple—represents the American people. She is Everyman, led astray and seeking the way back home.[11] Moreover, following the road of gold leads eventually only to the Emerald City, which may symbolize the fraudulent world of greenback paper money that only pretends to have value.[11] It is ruled by a scheming politician (the Wizard) who uses publicity devices and tricks to fool the people (and even the Good Witches) into believing he is benevolent, wise, and powerful when really he is a selfish, evil humbug. He sends Dorothy into severe danger hoping she will rid him of his enemy the Wicked Witch of the West. He is powerless and, as he admits to Dorothy, "I'm a very bad Wizard".[

Also learned that Greenspan is a disciple of Ayn Rand. That was a recipe for disaster. Thinking market forces will just correct themselves naturally. That scumbag. Watched this recently:

While returning to it would be problematic, use of gold as money goes back centuries before Christ. Based on that run, it can't be much more stupid than all the institutions of government that have come and gone in that time. Or any technology other than the wheel. :D

It would make as much sense going back to the gold standard as it would going back to riding donkeys around.
