@Jack V Savage

<Lmaoo>

Practice what you preach then.

I'm trying to add to @JonesBones perspective based on what I've learned about banking. If you wanna boil it down to (and leave it at) gold = stupid and Federal Reserve notes = smart that's your choice. I like the guy and am attempting to drum up some dialogue with him. Your input isn't really a substitute for that conversation so pardon me while I move on.

Have a great weekend.

The lecturer was fair and gave arguments for both. I judged for myself. The economy is this huge machine with many moving parts. Things need to be lubed or the oil needs to be changed, or the brakes need to be fixed, etc when they need to be fixed. At the appropriate time. Which we can't predict. Gold does not allow us to adjust.

I didn't see it as a matter of trying to justify one system over the other. I saw it as an explanation of how we got where we are. Jack's the dude wanting to debate the merits between the two. I just wanted to challenge you on your assessment by thinking in historical terms. You really think what's working now globally would work just as well 1000 years ago?

Did anyone elses parents keep a box of kleenex / tissue paper in the back of their car? Where the rear windshield was.

I was just watching a show tonight where this came up. Yeah, we had a messy sneezer, it was vital.

Molyneux is the craziest of the bunch. Not as obvious a conman as Schiff and not as dumb either, so I'd just reverse him and Shapiro.

@Greoric is clearly a disciple of Molyneux (not only the views but the "not an argument" line) and used to post vids of him, but when I called him on that, he totally denied it and even pretended to think Molyneux was a woman ("I never even heard of her." "Why are you bringing that bitch up?") to make his denial seem more believable. Weird. I wonder if that's something people in the cult are supposed to do.

Has Molyneaux ever came out and said monarchy>democracy? Schiff is the only guy I have actually seen on video claiming monarchies>democracy(basically how although they were authoritarian at least 'zhit got done' as opposed to democracies) and Greoric is the only WR poster who Ive seen parrot that line as well.

Shades of Alexander Hamilton

I know its history. This course included a monetary history of the United States and of money in general.

Due to the high value of tea in many parts of Asia, tea bricks were used as a form of currency throughout China, Tibet,Mongolia, and Central Asia. This is quite similar to the use of salt bricks as currency in parts of Africa. Tea bricks were in fact the preferred form of currency over metallic coins for the nomads of Mongolia and Siberia. The tea could not only be used as money and eaten as food in times of hunger but also brewed as allegedly beneficial medicine for treating coughs and colds.

Next you'll be bringing up goats? Have central banks increased their holdings on tea lately?

Since you chose not to answer a direct question in my previous post there's no reason to think you'll do so here. So fuck it. If you wanna call a commodity being used as currency the most stupid shit ever then go for it. If you wanna believe the entirety of recorded history is nothing but morons who couldn't figure out the right way to conduct finances that's your prerogative. I'll stand by humanity not being totally retarded up until about 100 years ago, and if you won't acknowledge the merits of how they got from point A to point B over millenniums then that seems more like your failing than the use of gold as money. :eek::p:D:cool:

Dude is really losing his shit over a somewhat hyperbolic comment.

Can we all at least agree that knowing what we know now, using gold as money would be really stupid?
