I really don't think so. He definitely waited him out, but he was never having a casual time with it until Conor gassed.
 
Man, I wonder how much money Showtime and UFC are gonna lose on refunds.
 
I'm impressed how well vegas called the rounds prop bet. It was nine rounds.
 
McGregor did a lot better than I expected, and the fight didn't look like I was expecting either.
Can't blame them too much for the blatant cash grab I guess, it was actually a fairly entertaining fight by Mayweather standards.

Most of my group stayed civil. There was one lady who confused me with someone who said Conor was going to win and came up to me after saying "how's it feel now you potato eating drunk *something* *something* mother fucker". I tried to tell her we already talked and I said Floyd was going to win but she seemed too far off to back off, ha.

That whole dynamic is weird because obviously these guys don't fight the same amount of lower tier fighters at the beginning of their careers but they are expected to continue to fight top tier guys on their way out. I can see the frustration but that's always been a beef I've had with boxing where records and being undefeated means so much that it delays bigger fights sometimes. Some of these guys have to get to 20-0 just to be noticed. I guess MMA is heading that direction too but I never cared that much if a good fighter had a loss early in their career

Shit was political among my friends too. Like most were rooting for Conor and one girl who was rooting for him said after he lost, "Well, at least this will piss off the Nazis." lol.

I kinda don't like everytime there's a big fight that's a black and white guy it's gotta turn into that stuff. I didn't notice too much shit during the lead up but I stay away from the heavies so that's probably why.
