Incidentally, Captain Pedantic tends to draw a distinction between jealousy and envy, but I think in this case it would be a distinction without a difference, unlike at other times where it might be more useful.

Of course it's void and meaningless if you want it to be. I don't summon Captain Pedantic comment for every error I see on here or I would do nothing else all day until the end of days. I am forced by sheer weight of numbers to limit it or refrain altogether. Since I mainly do it for fun, the latter is not an option.

Now that's a little more like it but it's still as weak as if you hadn't saved it this long, sadly. I make no secret of the struggles I had earlier in my life due to a combination of poor mental health and bad luck. And I don't have complete certainty I will successfully avoid such struggles in future. But I'm enjoying the ever-living fuck out of the good times I'm having right now and I'll be forever grateful for them no matter what happens, which will hopefully sustain me when things aren't so good. I like it here; I just detest this season.

I was joking around about being trapped on a tiny island, I actually wouldn’t mind that myself lol. I’ve never been to PEI but sometimes I think about leaving the big city for a quieter life. Me? I’m good, the wife just got a new job at a major company and we are enjoying life. Big snow storm here today though which sucks. Can’t complain though since we basically avoided winter up until now.
