lmao don't call me a foreskin, I said I'm smoking blunts not a pipe you fucking dingus. If I got drafted the only thing I would hate about moving to Toronto is the lack of solid Mexican food.
I would desert so fast
I speak enough kitchen Spanish to learn how to illegally cross a border I'll have you know.

Damn... so the person we're supposed to love and trust is ourself? Wild.
I posses great wisdom but nobody ever asks

Speaking of which, he had to clean the office he made the mistake of being rejected at. She ignored him 100% like didn't even look at him LOL I was dead

Hey guys, remember how "if Hillary was elected, we'd be in a war with Iran by now"?

Fucking pathetic.

I’m just thankful we have an intelligent, prudent commander in chief that values expertise and surrounds him with top notch advisers. I’m sure the strategy is vetted and well thought out.

Well, we're not actually at war with Iran yet

But yeah, not looking good

The fact that Trump wasn't on Twitter immediately praising the US for killing state sponsor terrorist General almost makes me wonder if it was an accident.

Like, they had Intel this group was key in the Iraq embassy riots and decided to take them out, not realising it was an official Iranian General on Iraqi soil.

Honestly, Trump is the least offensive person here to me.

He's an idiot. Sure. But, by all impressions, he's a legitimate doveish force in his administration, while his advisers and other members of his administration are consistently more hawkish.

Meanwhile, what is most disgusting to me is how "liberal" newspapers like the New York Times and Washington Post are already excusing the attack, saying it was necessary, and repeating patently absurd US propaganda about Soleimani being some super villain. Honestly, it's simply unbelievable how they do this shit every - single - time.

I agree with the last part but while I think Trump is dovish this move is making me question that view. I think the next moves will tell us if we’re right or wrong about that. Maybe his instincts are to be dovish but if he can be convinced otherwise it probably doesn’t matter.

Another thing that's disappointing is that there are legitimate doveish or "anti-interventionist" currents in his voter base, as you can see on this forum. It's just that they hold absolutely no sway because....well, they don't really give a shit, and they'll vote for Republicans regardless. Yeah, they'll bitch about it online, but Trump and Co aren't losing any votes for foreign wars.

I think this was definitely done on purpose. They saw a big target exposed and went for it.

But the Department of State is shambles, Mattis and the Secretary of Navy resigned in protest.

The US is isolated from our allies in this excursion except for Israel where BiBi is trying to avoid prosecution and Saudi Arabia

and I'm still offering bets that we're not going to be

no takers though

funny, that

The double negative is confusing me.

Are you betting/predicting that the US will or won't be at war with Iran?

I also think it's important to note (for the peanut gallery) that the Hillary/Trump commentary in re Iran was reasonable and excusable leading up to the election. Clinton's rhetoric was markedly more hawkish than Trump's in the debates, for instance. So I don't at all blame casual voters for thinking Clinton was the more hawkish pick on this topic.

However, those days are long, long behind us. And it's no longer reasonable to think Trump is remotely preferable to Clinton in foreign policy or on Iran specifically. So the people that have said, after Trump ripped up the nuclear agreement and after Trump liberalized drone strikes and after Trump became publicly deferential to SA and Israel, that Clinton would have been more aggressive and hawkish are fucking hacks.

I too am confused by the double negative.

are you saying that we will be at war with Iran?

if that's the case I'll take the bet.

I don't believe we'll go to war with Iran.

I don't think we're going to war. Certainly possible though.

100%

Oh ok. That's my opinion as well. I could see an Iranian organized retaliatory strike in Iraq, but I don't think this will actually lead to war.

Hoping all our military personnel in ME are on high alert and able to stay safe. There's even bigger targets on them now.
