@Fawlty

I'm not alone in feeling like this video for an apartment comes across as pretentious am I?

Powerade is def. better than Gatorade, but I'm not going to not go get a Starbucks when I feel like getting one. Couldn't drink them regularly, but one or two a month is about right.

I wonder if we are in the minority in regards to powerade

And yea, to be fair, the ades have a fair amount of sugar. I just cant drink that Gatorade lite/zero shit.

Started with you insulting me. I said it would be bad for you to do that in real life. You said you'd fuck me up. I said I'd buy you a ticket to prove yourself and pay you cash for your efforts. Also said I would only grapple.

Then you said you would kill me with a gun.

Gotta be careful these days with death threats via gun. They have these weird laws that can bite you in the ass with threats like that

Let's go down memory lane.

Long time listener, first time caller.

Why is it that the people most afraid of being called racist are the people most likely to espouse or advocate for racist views?

I'll hang up and listen.

The post that got you all buttmad. Revel in its glory.

I didn't even use your name and I fired you up so much that you went into full asshurt aggro mode. I pretty much own you lmao.

FITE ME IRL THO. <45>

Only thing I ever get at Starbucks is an iced Americano, black. No empty calories there.

but usually I just brew my own black coffee

I can not drink coffee. Goes right through me

They frankly both suck from the sugar standpoint and the lite/zero stuff tastes like shit.

Nobody in SLC is that liberated, moment-to-moment. Give her half the makeup, longer skirts and a rape whistle, and then we'll talk.

Caffeine is probably the most popular chemical. Out of like, all the chemicals. And there are lots of chemicals iirc.

It's amazing that Gatorade ever passed itself off as a drink for active people. That stuff is straight up drank.

Pieces of April and Hannah and her Sisters are a couple of others.
Love that movie but I guess I forgot it was a Thanksgiving film. I really like Woody Allen films which is an opinion that one probably shouldn't voice to those with whom one does not have a good rapport established. I remember Hasan Minhaj made a joke about people who say they're excited for the next Woody Allen film, just one more reason I don't care for that hack. But he has a point, being a fan of Woody Allen is like being a fan of the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's in that it requires a caveat.
Indie movie with Katie Holmes about a girl who is estranged from her parents but invites them to her apartment for Thanksgiving. I saw it because I was a huge KH fan at the time but it was better than I expected it to be.

It's literally across the street from where the Jazz play.

BUT, like $1200 a month for a 550 sq foot studio... It's a budget stretch for me but FUCK is it a nice spot cause then I could walk my happy ass to work, for like... 4 months out of the year when it isn't blazing hot or as cold as Santa's asshole.

Shit's literally purple drank without the mixing process.

I have to drink it after a work out. I actually crave it.

I tried the lite stuff once and tossed it right after. It was as if they were trying to make it taste like ass.

$1200 a month doesn't seem crazy high for that place tbh, seems about where it should be. But yeah not something I'd go for on your salary despite the convenience.

I get Charlie Horses in like, my legs, quads, and feet if I drink it after working out. I can't do it... the stuff also makes the couple fillings I have had hurt.

For me it depends on three things.

1.) The COL increase that happens just about every year for public sector jobs

2.) If the job I have right now has a wage bump every year for your first like 5 like my last job.

3.) The supposed raises we are all getting as part of a new budget.

We shall see. I think I found A spot though that's like $900 a month down in Murray that's really nice. Just depends on availability come the time for me to move.

I think you and kafir (and Greg) have had very interesting comments on the issue, and I've enjoyed reading the posts, but I'm inherently skeptical of attempts to characterize a generation based on observation.

I like all the thinking there, but I feel like it's telling a story based on observations, and one that is very limited.

People are probably more sensitive to the quality of their personal relationships than anything listed here, so it makes trying to isolate this stuff very difficult. And while I've felt generation gaps, I don't see them hold up very well to scrutiny. Then technology, with today's perpetual interface, is probably doing more to people psychologically than the broader philosophical stuff too. I can't untangle any of this though.

I also haven't kept up with young people humor so I can't comment on that. I guess it's kinda Spider-Verse-y these days? That does seem absurdist.
Fair critique. I'm trying to make a connection between 2 observations, the increase in Gen-Z suicide rates (measurable) and the increased popularity in absurdist media (think Adult Swim shows, BoJack, etc.). They might be completely separate events, but I think I've made a case that they are related.

Shoot me with gun irl

Lol

So this is how you end, not with a bang, but a whimper. You should call me white again, you had more energy when you thought you wouldn't get this action lmao.

Try pickle juice after a workout.

And CBD oil is the bomb

I'd be inclined to live somewhere that is less good and save for a down payment on a house in five years.

Actually if I had been inclined to do that, I would have done that. Let me rephrase: Don't be like me, save up for a down payment on a house.
