I actually really like Sotomayor except for her stuff on personal jurisdiction (where she splits from RBG and Kagan). Not sure why you have Breyer so high. He's like reading oatmeal. Probably good, but a little too bland and mushy to be enjoyable.

That medai is being really disengeous with its headlines. Yes it is a big deal but its also not surprising.
The Supreme Court did not rule on the case. It said it did not have time to rule on that case as it does with 99% of cases that get appealed to it.
It would be a big deal if the Court had actually said yes we agree with the plaintiffs interpretation of the law.
All that happened here is that the Supreme Court said we don't have time for you so the decesion of the Conn. Supreme Court stands.,
So it is a big deal for the plaintiffs (the people suing Remington) and it is a big deal if you live in Conn but it is not a big deal anywhere else.
What most likely will happen is in a few years after other courts have had a chance to rule on this issue and a split in those Court's interpretation occurs
the Supreme Court will say the law can't be different in two different parts of the country and then it will grant review of another lower court's intpretation of the federal law at issue.

In fact Rmeington may still win. Even the Conn. Supreme Court just said Remington is not absoutely immune based on federal law. The plaintiffs still need to have a trial and show that somehow Remington was negilgent. Or most likely Remington will settle.

My favorite part was "hide behind your wall of statistics." You can't even concoct a more blatantly anti-intellectual phrase. He's literally saying to stop making informed references and settle whether Muslims commit more crimes in a fist fight instead.
 
Any mods here want to chime in on a poster threatening to fight a user in real life, and saying they're actively working on finding their identity, and that poster not receiving any punishment for it other than the one most inflammatory sentence of their post being deleted?

I'm sadly addicted to this stupid site as my at work time killer, but that's the kind of shit that would have me leaving when I was newer.

Truth is, there's no consistency in here. You could get dubbed for calling someone names, or banned for being "generally disruptive"(whatever the fuck that means) but threatening to track someone down is a bit of a grey area, apparently. Don't look for any logic to it, or any logical explanation for it. You won't find any.

That guy has had a screw come loose lately. He tagged me asking me to translate something from Arabic despite the fact that I don't know Arabic. Weird but okay I can forgive a mistake like that once but then later he tags me again asking me to get some of my Arab friends to translate. I don't think he really wanted a translation as much as he wanted a pretext to tag me in his shitty anti-Muslim posts and from the looks of that post he's really fell deep into the anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim rabbit-hole.

OMG its been years since we had we had a sherdog fight. This is epic. If this happens we need to get every poster in that reigion to show up. We should do bets here and a live stream

Read between the lines of the last 6 months:

1. The mods in the War Room have to project a veneer of political impartiality.

2. One side has significantly more rule breaking behavior than the other, to the point that containment has been deemed more effective than infractions.

3. That same side is also significantly more likely to raise a stink about infractions levied based on that behavior.

4. There's a longstanding accusation of "Left Wing Bias" of the mods in the War Room.

They've all but told you what exactly is going on.

I believe he is a grappler, so the bout will be MMA rules.

After venue is selected, the only matter that will need to be settled is how much jello and/or pudding will be used.
