You know damn well that there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud - and to the extent that it has been uncovered it has been consistently to the benefit (purposeful or not...) of Republicans - and that, at minimum, hundreds of thousands of voters are suppressed every year. And they just *happen* to be overwhelmingly urban and nonwhite.

Hell, with the ones in Georgia, they were as brazenly and transparently aimed at partisan disenfranchisement as was realistically possible. Setting aside transcripts showing that previous efforts at the Republican National Committee-level were specifically known to disenfranchise Democrats for partisan gains, the effects are clear.
What’s wrong with verifying someone’s identity before they vote? What’s wrong with requiring at least an official ID? And if it “suppresses” certain voters who cannot verify their own identity, why is that a bad thing?
Voter suppression used to mean they kicked your ass if you tried to vote.
