This is going to expose me as uncultured swine, but I've just discovered how great hummus is. I'm sure I've had it before at parties but didn't know what it was.

Hoo lawd. That chickpea life.

Olive Tapenade Hummus is the best Hummus.

Garlic is also very good

The bar is set really really really low for right wing media, or culture in general.
Speaking of which, has anyone had the stomach to watch that Kevin Sorbo vs Antifa movie?

Lol. Wtf

I have nothing against religion. I actually admire people of faith though I do not believe

But Christian movies really need to step up their game. Just horrible

I have nothing but love for Mr. @BarryDillon . Certainly no anger here.

By contrast, I do recall that you wished harm and injury upon the fine gentleman @SBJJ. That was the anger of your mother rearing its ugly head. Some of your comments toward the inimitable @Sketch have also been below the belt.

Let's work on this, Mr. Fa.

My shoulder is much better actually. Range is almost back to normal but strength with take awhile. Looks like no surgery will be needed. And I'm able to hit the gym at about 70% and roll lightly. Still afraid to throw strikes at 100% as my body tells me certain things are off limits at the moment.

Adjusted my diet(tweaked it) during all this to ensure I keep looking like an action figure

OOF, that looks terrible.

No way it's worse than God's Not Dead, though. That was the most painful movie watching experience of my life.

for a second there i thought the "daughter" was hit-girl from kickass and was left wondering WTF

Can you rephrase the question?

The post of yours that I quoted seemed to suggest a directional force from the consumers to the media, where consumers have preferences or opinions and the media responds to those opinions in such a way as to reflect or validate them.

But if someone told me that the automotive industry, or the fast food industry, or the pharmaceutical industry were simply "blank slate" industries shaped by consumer preferences, I'd want to add that those industries have also played a role in shaping those very preferences. I'd furthermore be fairly comfortable generalizing the intention to shape and capture consumer preference among for-profit companies as a category. Consumers communicate their preferences and companies respond; companies communicate appeal for their product-lines and consumers respond. It would seem unusual to me if mass media were an exception to this.

All this is merely to say that I don't believe @Anung Un Rama is wrong to attribute some blame to the media for generating shit for our consumption. It's true that base consumer preferences made the shit profitable, but it's also true that the media companies have encouraged us to develop the taste for it.

And we all know the pang of true hunger can only be resolved via swift entry of the Nexus.

I just noticed that Trump was trying to tell people that El-Big-Daddy was worse than Bin Laden. Woof. And LOL.

Check the quote in my sig about Bin laden.

I was dubbed by @Madmick for some questionable stuff in the past. However, I reasoned with him like an adult and got them lifted, instead of throwing a temper tantrum like yourself.

I guess that's the difference between me and you.

So you grovel to morons with delusional power complexes, and I call them out. Given our respective positions on Trump - me to his left and you around his shaft - I think that sounds about right.

So you’re calling @Madmick a moron?

Yuuuuup. I eat it every day now, pretty much.

Honestly Mickie gets a lot of shit, but that right there is why he is one of our best mods. And I say that as a guy who used to despise him.

If you talked like that to Fogie, Pan, Ruprecht, etc, you'd get banned regardless of context or anything else.

Mick allows idiots like @Trotsky to have their little autistic meltdowns against him, laughs it off, and lets them live to autism again another day.

That abortion movie was lit tho.

I loved it.

It was literally written by a seventh grader. The way the
atheist professor gets hit by the car at the end and in his last moments realises how wrong he is and that God is real after all but then dies anyway
was such a spiteful Christian power fantasy.

Excellent news. I am rooting for a full recovery.

Mr. Fa loves you too. His lashing out has nothing to do with you, so don't take it personally. This is the result of deep-seated problems that we are working on together.
