War Room Lounge v76: I put it to you, Greg: isn't this an indictment of our entire American society?

Also wow is the subject of Tulsi Gabbard getting boring.

She just told a reporter following an event at her DC residence that she's going to take her campaign to the convention regardless of her vote share.

So. There's that.

In addition to it never being likely because of her unpopularity, she did a full heel turn yesterday with an unhinged series of tweets attacking Clinton and the party. Lost any sane fans she might have had.
That certainly clarifies your earlier comment. Yes, it would be funny if this were attempt to copy his antics in the course of going independent thinking she'd get more support from Republicans than Democrats.

Never heard of her

don't worry. the situation is under control!
character assassination in progress.

Third party subterfuge of Democrats it is, then (again).

So, this is an area where my knowledge is rather lacking. Care to elaborate on why it has no chance to happen now?
Only two candidates with a shot would have looked at her, and she went after one of them in the last debate (Warren). I think she'll endorse Bernie, but her (as JVS phrased it, aptly I think) heel turn will keep him at arm's length. It's been a weird few weeks. She had a chance to be the Bernie babe (I honestly thought and hoped that was her angle, maybe it was but she fucked it up if so) but now she's coming off like a fringe candidate with some kind of vendetta. Not a good look. She needs to go on a yoga retreat or something, get her head right. A cabinet spot is still possible.

That said, I feel like Bernie has taken the momentum. I wonder who's on his short list for vp if he gets there? AOC? Is Pete even remotely possible? Pete got a "I wrote the damn bill" from him, but still... that ticket would be interesting and they'd have Trump and Pence on their inhaler five minutes into a debate.

For a candidate trending at below 1%, what's more alarming, that right wingers kind of like Tulsi, or that Liberals hate her with a passion, and think she's sabotaging the election?

I think you've grossly watered down what constitutes "hate with a passion" due to the fact that you hate so much with a passion.

No one here, or elsewhere for that matter, hates Gabbard. Hell, for many or most of us she was a top-half candidate.

Do I need to quote your tribe's comments on her, or are you comfortable being full of shit?

only person seems to hate on her, at least publicly so far

Zero chance that Gabbard would get a cabinet position. You want expertise there, and there's nothing she's remotely qualified for. I also don't see Bernie ever considering her seriously for a VP spot because she wouldn't bring anything to the ticket. He'd pick someone who has a different fanbase or some geographical value.

Well, in my fantasy world she was going to gain some momentum and be popular enough to warrant a look (for vp). As far as the cabinet you're right, but then again Hillary was sec of state. What was she like a 4 term senator at the time? What made her an expert in foreign affairs?

I would not mind Gabbard having a cabinet position, but I would want her as far away from foreign affairs as possible

What made her (Clinton) an expert in foreign affairs?
Her uncanny, unrivaled ability to obfuscate, delegate, and designate for death and destruction anyone and anything that stood in the
way of her single-minded agenda of self-advancement and self-aggrandizment.

She wasn't, really, and that was a shocking pick (she was also shocked), though she was well-known and respected among world leaders. She also had a great education, had been a top lawyer, was a key WH staffer, in addition to her time in the Senate, and was on the Armed Services Committee in the Senate. So questionably qualified but way, way more qualified and capable than Gabbard.

I was thinking something n the environmental area for her. She’s too green for FA, imo, though I happen to like her message mostly.

Uh, ok. You must really hate Trump.
