War Room Lounge v76: I put it to you, Greg: isn't this an indictment of our entire American society?

Nothing worse than waiting at a gas station because of a moron picking lotto numbers with a “system” of what he picks. The only important number is the amount of dollars and time you just pissed away standing there.
Actually there is something worse. I’m a mailman and don’t get paid by the hour. I have to wait in line at this gas station to get the outgoing mail. They’re always up there arguing thinking their food stamps are supposed to pay for their lotto tickets, scratch cards, and booze.

You go to the same gas station as @waiguoren ?

I'd like to tell that guy that the random algorithm for quick picks has a better chance of nailing the numbers than people trying to figure out the "system".

I'd like to tell him that, but i'm guilty of trying to write a predictive algorithm for the lottery based on historical numbers.

<DCrying>

Have you heard of the guy who won 14 lottos? He was the only one who had a sensible system imo and now that it happened, it’s all been fixed.

Why do they make you wait in line? That’s dumb. I would think you have the leverage in asking for them to put the mail out in a specific place for you to grab it.

Was his name Jeffery epstein?

That’s the way it is in every case except this one. And I don’t have to wait. They asked me to and I’m just doing them a favor. They hook me up with all kinds of free stuff so it all works out I guess.

I don't believe Division 3 schools can give athletic scholarships.

A buddy of mine got an academic scholarship to a D3 school if he'd happen to play hockey for them as well.

He scored an 18 on his ACT and got Cs in highschool. But was 6 foot 3, 220 pound center with 2 years playing in juniors, just wasn't quite good enough to make it as a D1 player

You're correct D3 can't give athletic scholarships, but rules are meant to find workarounds. I'm happy for him as he never would have gone to college otherwise and got a business degree and is now using it for a construction company doing bid work.

"Fixed" lol.

Granted I was doing it for the state lottery, but I was able to determine with a medium degree of confidence that they were using pseudorandom drawings instead of true random. If I had enough time to really do a deep dive on the numbers, i'm confident something could be worked out. You're not trying to beat the algorithm, you're trying to beat the person that designed the algorithm, after all.

I got as far as trying to soak the machine vendor to get to the ball manufacturer, but they were incredibly tight lipped. Not to mention that those fucking machines are expensive. To make the model work, we were going to need one of every machine that ran drawings and the makeup of the balls, but it got prohibitively expensive for something that was no sure thing.

Was it an actual academic scholarship or a grant?

From what I understand it's easier to play around with grant money.

But still there aren't many wrestling boosters out there. And the one's out there tend to help D1 schools

Same for regular bouncers. I've talked to a bunch and they all offer a pretty uneventful recollection of their jobs.

"So this one time this dude got really drunk, I told him to get out and he did". Well call the movie studios, your biopic is just around the corner.

When I was a bouncer it was down by the stadiums in Philly so we had some altercations.
