That's one of the things I truly envy you Americans for. You guys have so much space. If you wanna live somewhere far away from everyone, you have a lot of options. Over here, it's overpopulated and there's light and noise pollution all around.

I took a sleeping examination, I woke up about 150 times in one night. Most of those around under 15 seconds, around 44 were waking moments longer than 15 seconds.
Where I live now is awesome for that.

Like, 45 minutes away for me.

This is like 6 hours away up north (Grand Teton National Park):

About 4-6 south of me (Zion National Park):

About 8 hours north of me I think (Yellowstone)

I could also get to like the Grand Canyon and Arches as well inside a day. And if you're a skier or snowboarder Park City is like 45 minutes away

I will use this info to triangulate your home address

I last attended a math class before you were born, most likely.
Mr. Crazy, let's hope for your sake that this is not the case.

It's also pretty funny to see you arguing that intellectual superiority is a function of education
That never happened.

If you think that "lying about rape is a key Dem tactic" is a legitimate claim, IMO, you're just showing that you're every bit as tribalistic as Inga or Seano or SBJJ or whatever.
I don't remember if Mr. IngaVov wrote "lying about sexual assault" or "lying about rape". It seems a minor quibble in context. Otherwise, of course I do think that many females have used this tactic in support of Democrats/opposition to Republicans. Do you disagree?

It's fine if that's how you want to present yourself, but at times, you have given signs of an aspiration for a different type of recognition.

Then you've misinterpreted those "signs". I don't aspire for you or anyone else to perceive me in any particular way. That would be in contradiction to the pursuit of good-faith dialogue, Mr. Jack.

You can't credibly move back and forth between that kind of unhinged, lunatic partisanship (and I see that you watered down the claim from "it's a key Democratic tactic" to "it's something that Democrats have done before"--also note that given that Ford, whose claims may or may not have been true, did not mention rape) and a self-presentation as a rationalist.
"It's a very effective tactic that Democrats/Democrat supporters have used before to achieve their political ends."

On Ford: the only female friend who Ford claims was present at the small gathering---who last year admitted she had no recollection of the event and never knew Kavanaugh---now says she "has no confidence" that the event happened, that Ford's classmates pressured her to change her story by threatening her reputation, and that the story "just didn't make any sense".

So there's yet another nail in the coffin. Will you be a "rationalist" (as you call it) and update your level of confidence in Ford's accusation being true?

"I'm not going to take the time to make sure that I know what I'm talking about, but I will throw out a baseless personal attack because I perceive you as not being in my tribe."

? You have thrown around terms like "conservative movement" repeatedly without defining them in any kind of careful way. You must know that this serves to impede dialogue since many people identify themselves as "conservative" and perhaps part of such a "movement" yet don't affiliate with the particular people you're attaching them to. That's not a "baseless personal attack" against you. It's a based suggestion for you to improve.

It's also ironic because I've seen you take umbrage when other posters attack "the left" for unethical behavior. Those people are committing the same error you do. As a person who does not affiliate with a tribe (well, other than @Limbo Pete's) and who has read your posts extensively over many years, your approach and that of people such as Ben Shapiro look like two sides of the same coin: define amorphously the in-group/good guys and the out-group/bad guys, then defend and attack respectively.

Prove you're not a rat. Allow a mod to show your report history.

Is this something that any poster can do, Mr. HereticBD? I would like to submit such a request.

The other side of that coin is driving across Texas takes a whole ass 24 hours. An hour and a half jaunt to work is normal.

She said it's a key tactic of Democrats, which is a ridiculous lie. And define "many." I'm actually not able to recall any at this time, but it's a big country, and it wouldn't surprise me if it's happened, though of course it is not a key tactic of any political party, and the accusation is completely unhinged. The one case of a politically motivated false accusation that I'm aware of was one that Inga publicized that involved a Republican sleaze trying to fake a story against a Democratic presidential candidate.

Then you've misinterpreted those "signs". I don't aspire for you or anyone else to perceive me in any particular way. That would be in contradiction to the pursuit of good-faith dialogue, Mr. Jack.

Hmm. You're giving a sign right here that you don't consider yourself and don't want to be viewed as someone who sees his purpose here as spreading dishonest political propaganda.

"It's a very effective tactic that Democrats/Democrat supporters have used before to achieve their political ends."

You're trying to shift the discussion. I'll go along with the shift when you acknowledge that the charge from Inga was knowingly false and absurd. Or if you want to defend the claim that false accusations of rape are a key Democratic tactic, you should make that clear so people of good faith can tell that you are not an honest and serious poster.

It's also ironic because I've seen you take umbrage when other posters attack "the left" for unethical behavior. Those people are committing the same error you do.

"These people" like you?

The conservative/libertarian side says private businesses should be able to serve or not serve whoever they want. The Left wants to regulate who business owners must serve.

This indicates, at best, a failure in your reading comprehension.

People in urban areas often have the same amount of commuting due to traffic.

America is also overpopulated. You have to head to Greenland or Mongolia if you really want room to swing a cat.

She said it's a key tactic of Democrats, which is a ridiculous lie
Semantics. It's a powerful tactic and people have used it in recent memory in support of Democrats/opposition to Republicans. Blasey Ford is a great example. Julia Swetnick is another.

And define "many."
More than two.
of course it is not a key tactic of any political party
Again, semantics. I read "key" there as "having great effectiveness in achieving one's ends".

The one case of a politically motivated false accusation that I'm aware of was one that Inga publicized that involved a Republican sleaze trying to fake a story against a Democratic presidential candidate.
You talking about the 20-year-old (I think Jacob Wohl)? Indeed he seems like a person of low character. More relevantly, he failed miserably. With more experience, the correct gender and a team to work with, the tactic can become much more effective.

Hmm. You're giving a sign right here that you don't consider yourself and don't want to be viewed as someone who sees his purpose here as spreading dishonest political propaganda.

Wrong again. I don't care if you or anyone else sees me that way. I care that I am not such a person. I am satisfied knowing that I am not.

You're trying to shift the discussion. I'll go along with the shift when you acknowledge that the charge from Inga was knowingly false and absurd.
I think I cleared that up above.

"These people" like you?
We've been over this before. You produced one post of mine out of over 13,800 (!) in which I used that term. I'd bet that post wasn't from within the past eight months. People improve, and I have.

This indicates, at best, a failure in your reading comprehension.
Really? Why have you taken up the task of defending "the Left"?

America is also overpopulated. You have to head to Greenland or Mongolia if you really want room to swing a cat.
But you have places that are pretty vast, in comparison to Western Europe.

With traffic, it would probably take two and a half hours. Shit's crazy. I come in at dumb hours of the morning, but I have to to avoid the shit.

But you have places that are pretty vast, in comparison to Western Europe.

Sure. I guess it's relative.
I think Australia's over populated.

Always loved visiting grandparents in Montana, in large part because you could go for a drive or go fishing and truly be alone

Even in Minnesota, so often if you get out fishing, the shoreline is nothing but houses and docks unless you're on a tiny lake scarcely more than a pond (and not know for being good fishing or someone will find a way to build a 600k cabin on it)

Sure. I guess it's relative.
I think Australia's over populated.

How densely is Australia actually populated? Like the regions where people can and do actually live, not the desert?

Oh, young tonni.

I do so wish for you to someday come across an actual person from rural Wyoming and really see what you're missing.

The thing about places like Wyoming or Montana though is there's basically nothing BUT small towns that probably feel like they're dying.
