I mean, I wouldn’t. You would. That’s what I’m saying lmao. Nobody here would look at that pic and say, “haole” except for the black people I know. He looks more like a Hawaiian than a haole.

Anyway all it speaks to really is how arbitrary and unscientific these racial definitions are.

I see what you mean and I agree. Yeah, this stuff doesn't have much basis in reality, and the mainstream American classifications are particularly problematic given our history with race.

Zimmerman looks Hispanic to me. But so does Anderson Silva. Yet they're clearly not the same, so therein lies the problem, haha.

In Hawaii, do you guys make distinctions between Hispanics? Would Canelo Alvarez and Yoel Romero be described as the same race?

Lmao no Canelo is clearly a haole! I’m mixed race but pretty fair, always called haole or cracker, not really in a mean spirited way. But I look way less haole than Canelo lol. I get called Pocho (Portuguese) a lot also.

We do it that way though, Hispanic isn’t used as a racial classification. To me I can clearly see Indio blood in Zimmerman. Not at all in Canelo. He may well have it, but I can’t see it.

Edit: Romero would be described as popolo (black). Whether someone is Hispanic is generally secondary. The major distinction would be if someone is Puerto Rican since there’s been a long history of Puerto Rican’s here, kind of like the Portuguese.

1. I agree the media had an agenda, but Zimmerman is still white. White is a race. Hispanic is an ethnicity. There are black Hispanics. Yoel Romero is black and Hispanic. If a picture of Romero said "black" on it, it would be 100% correct.

2. The picture says "Child" not "Child Who Didn't Attack An Adult." The contradiction doesn't work because it is clearly a picture of a child to anyone who isn't crazy.

3. I accept your concession.
1. Glad you agree I'm right.
2. He was pictured as a child yep, his actions and life were that of a thug.
3. Concession? It was lazzzzzy

Girl Scouts are fuckin genius. Love thin mints and I just tried their smores for the first time. love them too.

1. So we're in agreement? It's dumb to act like Zimmerman isn't white, even if the media was being dumb about it.

2. Stop rambling. Is he a child or not?

3. Did I see the picture wrong? It's just some troops holding flags, right? It's pretty small and cluttered, so maybe I saw it wrong.

Zimmerman isn't white and has a light complexion however the media got it wrong purposefully.

Michael brown was a "child too".

You are way to triggered over a stupid meme. A brisk walk is needed.

1. Then what race is he?

2. Okay, cool. So is Trayvon a child or nah?

3. "Triggered" now means someone who can't seen an image clearly? Blind people must be triggered af.

You can.

You can get anything in this video very easily

Thanks . Had no idea you could drive around with a gun in a trunk of my car.
Want to get myself a license but I'm not sure I want the hassle and the invasion of privacy of government. Pretty sad I guess

I'm not talking about what I think. He IS White, by definition (the American definition, at least), as I said in my last post.

Hawaiians, from what I know, generally have a more comprehensive language for discussing race than mainstream America. In mainstream America, White, Black, and Asian are races. And Arab/Middle Eastern, I think. Hispanic isn't a race. So if someone asked what race George Zimmerman is, you'd say white. And if someone asked what race Anderson Silva is, you'd say black.

You're wrong here, friend.

In mainstream American discourse, the other race you aren't mentioning, and that Zimmerman would be considered to belong to, is "Mexican."

Some people have soft faces. SOme have hard. I have hard. People tell me to lighten up just by the look on my face.

Hard:

Elon Musk is a little in between but closer to hard.

soft:

Steve Jobs is harder.

Fedor is a hard face. That is a stereotypical russian thing. Putin does too. Though Dostoevsky was soft. That was part of why Krushev's visit to the US was so weird. Cuz he was unlike the stoic Russian stereotype. He acted more like the stupid and loud American tourist type.

hard. I think Lenin is a sharp looking guy.

It's not customary to smile for photos in Russia.

Smiling in photos is what goofy people do in Russian culture. So they naturally look like they have hard faces more so than they really do.

So we don't derail the thread.

Just read what I said and stop looking into it more then that. Also, the roller rink joke would be more funny if you didn't steal it from someone else. It must be hard trying to live as someone other then yourself.
I'll go with you on this one. Cite it. Who, in your mind, owns the IP to this observation that every 12 year old kid made the first time he went rollerskating? And then, in turn for my tolerating you, explain why you are fixated on me.

Yikes, I just fell down the rabbit hole of your exchange with that putz.

I don't know how someone can be so angered by the mere expectation that people own up and admit they had spread lies and were wrong.

Cyborg fight, Arlovski/Struve, Dodson/Munhoz, Pyle, Cat, and Dariush fighting...all of that is pretty sweet imo.

Yeah, I mean if it was a fight night I'd give it a nod -- but if it wasn't for Frankie, I definitely wouldn't be reaching for my wallet

I mean, it wasn't even insulting. It was a little tongue in cheek but I wouldn't have attacked anybody for admitting they were wrong or anything. I've had to admit being wrong a lot, it's not that big a deal.
