I mean, I wouldn’t. You would. That’s what I’m saying lmao. Nobody here would look at that pic and say, “haole” except for the black people I know. He looks more like a Hawaiian than a haole.
Anyway all it speaks to really is how arbitrary and unscientific these racial definitions are.
I see what you mean and I agree. Yeah, this stuff doesn't have much basis in reality, and the mainstream American classifications are particularly problematic given our history with race.
Zimmerman looks Hispanic to me. But so does Anderson Silva. Yet they're clearly not the same, so therein lies the problem, haha.
In Hawaii, do you guys make distinctions between Hispanics? Would Canelo Alvarez and Yoel Romero be described as the same race?
