Some people have soft faces. SOme have hard. I have hard. People tell me to lighten up just by the look on my face.

Steve Jobs is harder.

Fedor is a hard face. That is a stereotypical russian thing. Putin does too. Though Dostoevsky was soft. That was part of why Krushev's visit to the US was so weird. Cuz he was unlike the stoic Russian stereotype. He acted more like the stupid and loud American tourist type.

hard. I think Lenin is a sharp looking guy.

I need to say this to myself when I am losing money in the market. lol at stoics. like anybody could live like this:

Never say of anything ” I have lost it ” but ” I have returned it “

Is your child dead? It is returned.

Is your wife dead? She is returned.

Is your estate taken away? Well, is not that likewise returned?

“But he who took away is a bad man”

What difference is it to you who the giver assigns it to take it back?

Physiognomy is a pseudoscience to begin plus we know how facial features form. A child with allergies for example breathes a lot through their mouths. Whereas the average kid has the tongue against the roof of their mouth. Tongue is a strong muscle that carves/sculpts your face. Without tongue placement on roof of mouth your upper jaw doesnt widen enough. That is what happened to me. But I went to the orthodontist as a kid and got it all fixed. You know what the best selling point was by the ortho? That I could end up looking like Jay Leno. My mom pulled out her wallet when she heard that. lol. Cuz we were wondering what was actually wrong and what consequences could be.

I doubt TArantino or Leno had braces or anything. I could look something like them without intervention. I remember Jay Leno said there was a procedure that could fix his jaw but he wouldn't be able to talk for a year so he didnt do it.

Number of rapes in Sweden. In 2005, they broadened the definition of rape, which is the usual go-to explanation for the dramatic increase in surprise sex. When that isn't sufficient enough, they say that it's more acceptable to talk about rape and people are more prone to report rapes to the police nowadays.

Meanwhile, the abuse of judicial procedure has increased tenfold and the trust in the police is getting lower and lower (which would speak of a lower number of reported rapes).

So, if you were to control for the re-definition and just disregard the sociological argument re willingness to report, it would seem that, post-migrant entry, the rate of sexual assault has increased....8%? Is that a fair conclusion?

You know how people say the Fed makes money out of nothing. I realized I do that with a credit card. That money didn't exist until I made it. I am taking out a loan every time I use a credit card. Creating money out of thin air. Like a bank. Except I pay much higher interest rates.

This is a good video that sums up as much about how our economy works as can fit in 30 minutes. Many people here certainly already know this stuff but if you dont:

This guy also says that German inflation could have been handled better in the 20s. The deleveraging. Are we headed into deleveraging now @Jack V Savage?

I read the first sentence and was like "here we go" but was wrong. The gold standard/anti-fiat posters have seemed to disappear in the last 6 years.

Ugh. I didn't know there was another Bush coming.

I doubt he has any political traction going forward.

He's the only Bush to endorse Trump so if he has a future it means Trumpism is still alive and he's the least of our problems

Yeah, I understand what making money out of nothing means now when they say it. A few months back when I first started watching some serious lectures on economics one of the first things I learned was how stupid the gold standard is. It wasnt presented that way. It was fair and balanced. But it just can't work. For reasons I stated before. I said it is one of the dumbest ideas I ever heard of and somebody in here got mad. lol. So there is some still around.

Also, they just switched over to bitcoin and are making the same arguments again. Actually a guy earlier linked a documentary to the fed reserve and told me to watch it. Cuz I was asking questions. And I knew it was a conspiracy video just from the title. So didn't bother. Then a smarter person posted that Dalio video.
