He's just so good. Like LeRoy Glover, Warren Sapp, and Dwight Freeney all in one. And he's an easy guy to root for since he's both a good dude and he's been overlooked and underrated every step of his college and professional career due to his size.
It's a tad insane.

Also, there's a small part of me that hopes one of the Packer DBs takes a shot at Tyreek and levels him for the whole season. I don't care about a penalty and shit but I'd love to see that shitsipper twitching on the field like Mike Tyson just used his head for a heavy bag.

Oh god, I will take the GoT debate over football talk any day.

*sigh* 6 months is a long time

Still shorter than Baseball and its 162 fucking games.

I dislike baseball too.

I like hockey, but hate discussing it.

The only sport I like talking about is MMA (and Pro wrestling if you want to stretch the word sport)

Can you elaborate?
I'll try. A good example to illustrate is when Trump announced is plans for building a wall on the southern border and have Mexico pay for it.

If you take Trump literally but not seriously, you determine that the plan is ridiculous, and conclude the man is a buffoon for suggesting it.
If you take him seriously but not literally, you might realize the plan is over the top, but as a candidate he is serious about curtailing illegal immigration.
If immigration is an important issue to someone, they are going to believe that Trump is the most serious about doing something drastic about it.

So the parallel is that Yang might not have the most thought out solution (or even analysis) of the problem, but his radical proposal is an indication that he is willing to take drastic measures to address it.

OK. But my take is that there is no problem. So whether one takes him seriously or literally, he's wrong on his main issue.

Tom Brady is the GOAT. Unarguable. Factual. Truth.

Nah, if we're including coaches, Belichick is #1 and there isn't anyone in the same universe. It's hard to divorce Brady's success from having the greatest coach in professional sports history.

If we're talking just players:

1. Jerry Rice
2. Don Hutson
3. Lawrence Taylor
4. Reggie White
5. Randy Moss
6. Tom Brady
7. Barry Sanders
8. Johnny Unitas
9. Dick Butkus
10. Peyton Manning

Have you read Tim Powers novels? I find he does that looming unreality better the Neil Gaiman (could be just the schizophrenic/occult flavour I prefer with his Fault Lines series).
Nope, haven't even heard of him. Sadly I don't do much fiction reading anymore.

You might be looking at the problem with too narrow a view. If you look at it from a broader perspective, such as the economy is changing at a rapid rate, to a point where many people will not be able to participate in it while the gains of said economy are not distributed in a way that will improve society sustainably, then a candidate who can identify automation as a source of anxiety is going to be taken seriously by some people.

I think this is closer, just that automation is the wrong umbrella term for what's happening.

Seems to resonate though, so maybe it's a rhetorical choice.

Well, I don't watch any TV (aside from combat sports) and very few movies, but I always make time to read. Both Gaiman and Powers typically fall under the "Urban Fantasy" sub-genre though, which isn't a category I enjoy much of. Exceptions to that general rule (along with some "New Weird" like Mieville).

Terrible disrespectful posts.

-Most wins ever by a QB.
-Owns just about every QB Superbowl record there is, including most completed passes, most championships, most 4th quarter comebacks (the clutch God), most yards, 4 Superbowl MVPs, etc.
-Most passing yards in general actually, most TDs, most TDs thrown to different WRs, etc.

The only record Brady doesn't either actually own or is within reach to own is most interceptions. There doesn't get more GOAT than the GOAT.
I'm not saying Brady is shit.

My thing is this. I'd love to have seen how much BETTER those numbers would have been with a talent like Rodgers or Peyton paired up with the way Bill runs/manages that team.

EDIT:
I also think when comparing QBs using Super Bowl numbers isn't a great measuring stick. Does that mean Brees with his single appearance, Rodgers with his single appearance, and Marino with no appearances are worse QBs than Eli fucking Manning?

Belichick has a losing record without Brady as his starting QB. He was fired by the Ravens and then they won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer.

<NoneOfMy>

Brady's uber talent wins out. Some of those Cowboys or Chargers teams would have rings in this era if they had Tom Too Cool those years instead of Romo, Rivers and the like.

I still think in the modern era we are in Brees/Brady/Rodgers are the 1a, 1b, 1c and the arguments for who is A, B, and C is completely up to personal preference.

EDIT:
I was also trying to be tongue in cheek with the Rodgers video.
