The short version is that after the Civil War, there were only 2 types of Democrats: 1) Former Southern confederates and 2) a coalition of 1st-2nd gen European immigrants (Irish, Italian, Jewish, etc) in the North East. Republicans were mostly Mid Westerners and non-immigrants in the North East. The stigma of the Civil War lasted a very long time, to the point when it was taken for granted that no Southern Democrat could ever win a National Election, so only North East candidates would make it to the presidential election. This was the status quo until Nixon enacted the Southern strategy and changed trajectories for both parties.

I for some reason can't do dogs that are "skinny" like that or a greyhoud. I'm always worried their legs are going to break super easy.

Yes, I realize the bones in an Akita or Malamutes leg's aren't much bigger but all the fur makes them seem "thicker".

I think they are a little delicate when they are puppies, especially Italian Greyhounds, but overall they are physically tougher than they look (although they act like big babies). Their delicate appearance and mannerisms are part of their charm.

I know the summers here would be brutal for them but if I manage to own my own house with central A/C I want to get an Akita and Mal when I can afford to do so. My job through the county has a dog daycare system you can apply for and I figure if I get the Mal first with the right disposition it'll keep the Akita calm and less of a bullheaded asshole.

Or maybe I can connive my job into letting me having the pups with me at my desk.

But he tries to present it as a "gotcha" and the dishonest conservative media ran with that.

This should go without saying, but you could drop the rotisserie of creepy personas you're trying out and just hang. I understand that you can't fix yourself in a day, but any non-creepy effort would be met with positive reinforcement, and you'd be able to condition yourself to relax and just be a human being, at least most of the time. Everybody has their issues that flare up now and then (just ask @LogicalInsanity), but your mental problems don't have to define you all of the time. You should think it over, and maybe consider some chemical help. Somebody fucked you up bad and it wasn't your fault.
