I don't twitter but on Facebook, it looks like he's saying dem racism is bad because Israel doesn't like it?

If Democrats want to unite around the foul language & racist hatred spewed from the mouths and actions of these very unpopular & unrepresentative Congresswomen, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I can tell you that they have made Israel feel abandoned by the U.S.
Holy crap, man. So, no Israel definitely doesn't feel abandoned by the U.S. because a few congresspeople are critical of them. And they are representative because they are literally representing their congressional districts with mandates of at least 78%. "Foul language & racist hatred" spewing is also over the top, and transparently a rhetorical attempt to lighten the moral load from the foul right wing Trumpian establishment.

I feel so bad for Joe Thomas. Absolute class act for them for 11 years of garbage. Retires due to injuries and wear and tear on body just as the management finally gets a good looking roster.

Record setting lineman pro bowl appearances, 10,000 consecutive offensive snaps. 5 times voted a top 30 player in the league. Never griped about being the lone bright spot on a dumpster fire team.

He's an all-time class act-er. Apparently the Browns entertained moving him in one of his last few years. I would have said that was really bad juju.

It's also weird seeing him on television too since I never heard him talk once during his decade-plus career.

Incels losing their tiny minds in the James bond thread cos the start of the new movie bond is retired and his 007 prefix is issued to a black woman. <Ellaria01>

Yeah man, I hate seeing GOAT level players wasted on bad teams. Unfortunately it happens in the NFL a lot. Happens in baseball too (Mike Trout).

Worst all-time waste (imo) was Andre Johnson on the Texans.

Dude could have been the GOAT. He had everything: size, strength, hands, route running, physicality. Had five 100-catch seasons and just destroyed cornerbacks, but never had a quarterback on his team that threw for 30 touchdowns. And in only one season did he have a quarterback that even threw for 25.

He shrunk down too, for long term health reasons he said. Guy is a real family man. No sense to carry that extra ~50 pounds of mass that's needed in the trenches, so he kept working out and dieted rather than forcing himself to eat like, well, an nfl lineman.

That was bad (I loved him as a player and he was a fantasy god). I'm going with Calvin Johnson, who was uncoverable and made QBs look like they belong in the league (and helped Stafford get a huge extension). AJ is a great one though.

Texans had both DeAndre Johnson and Hopkins for two years and couldn't even make playoffs

I'm glad obj is away from a deteriorating Eli Manning

I have them pegged as a wildcard team. Winning division (and being out first round playoffs due to inexperience and jitters) wouldn't surprise me at all.

People have been saying "this'll be the year the Browns don't suck" for many years, and it hasn't panned out. But last year at 7-8-1 with two very narrow losses was the year they finally didn't suck already.

The Browns have a quarterback for the first time since....? Actually prove he looks like a franchise qb on the field, not just look good in flashes. He'll improve going into 2nd year as well. They added one of the most skilled WRs in the game. Their young defense looked good last year and will be 1 more year experienced.

Going 10-6 or 11-5 to win a weaker division wouldn't surprise me. More likely is 9-7 getting in on wildcard.

I’d have to look back but I belive they didn’t have a win against any team with a winning record last year. The schedule is still easy again this year but I don’t think last year proved anything. The other teams underperformed and our division had a very very easy schedule. I don’t expect that to repeat.

FWIW Vegas has the Browns wins over/under at 9 and Steelers at 9.5, so the pros have it really close.

I'm with Polish and think Baker is the real deal. And as a Giants fan I think OBJ could be the most talented WR in the league (a small handful of guys can make that claim). The offense is stacked and the defense should be decent too (middle of the pack).

Time will tell. I’m just skeptical. I know the Steelers certainly can underperform and most of the division is in a weird rebuild mode. Browns have sucked for so long I kinda wouldn’t be mad if they did well at this point. I never really saw them as a rivalry team even though I’ve seen fist fights at games.

As a Giants fan it hurts to say this but I agree. OBJ was incredible with sub par QB play (being gentle).

I get it. They have a long history of incompetence. But they played pretty well last year. I think it comes down to whether you believe in Baker or not. If he's average or below average they're not going to win that division. If he's legit and takes a step forward I think they're pretty scary.

I actually low key think Megatron became overrated (and Stafford became underrated) toward the end of his career. Receivers with that much size and length just can't be expected to run a full route tree for more than 4-5 years because of both acceleration issues and just the hell that is wreaks on their knees. His last couple seasons, he was pretty much only great on deep routes and goal line fades.

Yeah, I guess that's pretty common. I know Jordan Gross from Carolina dropped like a hundo in one year. I'm sure the caloric intake necessary to stay at 300+ while training at an elite level is absurd.

Texans are underrated in terms of mismanaged franchises. What they did to David Carr should be criminal. Took a generational QB talent and turned him into a PTSD case within the first half of his rookie season by calling 20 five step drops a game behind a completely undeveloped line.

I don’t belive a quarterback changes a team. A bad team needs a core before some rookie qb can come in and help. The browns have some improvements but I think the team as a whole still has the same problems they have in the past. Also, I’m a big believer in players causing problems off field can ruin a team. As much as AB and Bell were great players, I think the Steelers will do better this year without both (Bell already has been gone). I don’t know ODB well but he seems to be like that. Manzel was too. You can’t build any already bad team off that. Never heard of Baker is like that too.

There was a sketchy "big cat" thing at the fair one time, and my wife and I witnessed this from a female lion toward an unsuspecting kid that was tying her shoe with her back toward the enclosure. The lion was pacing from side to side, basically leaping from side to side, with its head fixated on her. Despite all the scrubby weeds and gravel, there was no sound whatsoever. Girl had no idea the cat was doing it. Fuckin_creepy_as_fuck.

Yeah, it's completely common for tigers, lions, jaguars, and apparently leopards.

But the cheetah sneaking up on the guy to come give him kisses was the best

It really is incredible how quickly and quietly those big cats can move. Mad respect, nature. I don't want none of that. Nope. No sir.

Here's my casual observation:
Mick's angle on the tweets has been something along the lines of "the problem isn't that the tweet is racist, the problem is that people are making a big deal of it". He had a similar take on the AOC "Concentration camps" thread. The common thread is that the scandal itself isn't the issue to him, but rather the criticism of the scandal. It is a common trait of people with strong authoritarian inclinations: the circular logic that people in positions have earned the right to exercise said power because if they weren't worthy of it, they would never have gotten it in the first place. Criticism is the problem because it undermines the ability the authoritarian to execute his will.
I don't know if its that, I think its something simpler. I think Mick is just being reflexively anti-SJW so anytime he sees arguments or claims that he would deem likely to come from them or appease their values he resists them.

Cats in general are just stealth, athletic wonders.

Meanwhile, I had an old dachshund who you could constantly hear bumbling around and literally tripping over his penis.
