Tits on their own are insufficient. In Finnish there is a term to describe a specific type of older finnish woman build: persjalkainen. Literally ass-legged. Think cankles but for butts. It is not appealing.

@Higus with the balls to admit being a tuf noob in the poll
Yeah man. I remember flipping through the channels one day and it was the episode with Diego Sanchez destroying Josh Rafferty. After that I was hooked. I watched the previous episodes, then got into PRIDE and so on. When I got out of school, I signed up for BJJ lessons. 2005 was a big year for MMA.
tbf though, I had seen the original UFCs with Royce Gracie and they were so ugly by modern standards that I didn't get the appeal. A lot changed between UFC 1 and TUF 1.

One place I just noticed is a popular YT vid that animates TFaS and opens with the lion analogy. I've heard lots of speakers - Dawkins comes to mind - give various analogies to explain our superstition (or other behaviors) by talking about prehistoric man avoiding the rustle in the bushes when there's really nothing there, as that over-caution keeps us alive. It's a very popular sort of analogy and I think it's really bad because even though it's trying to communicate evolutionary pressures and selection, it also primes us to believe in Adam. Those instincts have been developing in basically every animal for millions to billions of years. There was no naive-to-nature man, and the true picture is that this occurs to us now because the average person doesn't know anything about nature. It shouldn't be: "The caveman hears a rustle in the bushes." It should be: "You, right now, are lost in a jungle and hear a rustle in the bushes."

So what you are saying is that human consciousness is both a we that is an I and an I that is a we, but also has a process by which itself makes itself?

I'm saying that we're never too egalitarian to throw people to the lions when they are so insolent!

A very intriguing prop bet

+350 (350 return on a 100 bet) that Amazon experiences an outage today or tomorrow with prime day.

I suppose it comes down to how exactly they define an outage, but that seems some juicy odds considering they crashed the last two years.

Okay, I have Prime but I don't know what Amazon day is. Just a big sale? And people just go on and buy things they don't need because they're cheaper?

That was the only entertaining part about it. I think after the few initial exchanges, they pretty much just stared at each other and grappled a bit. Oh', and who could forget:

th

I was awful. I hyped it up a bunch to get my college friends to watch an MMA card and it was a disaster. I had to try to save face and pull up some of the best fights I could from online after. Didn’t sell them.

Did you take it? Too late now, but that's a fun one.

I just don't get it I guess. I do not think either guy is a racist, but they go so far out of their way to claim things that are blatantly racist are not that it makes no sense.
Here's my casual observation:
Mick's angle on the tweets has been something along the lines of "the problem isn't that the tweet is racist, the problem is that people are making a big deal of it". He had a similar take on the AOC "Concentration camps" thread. The common thread is that the scandal itself isn't the issue to him, but rather the criticism of the scandal. It is a common trait of people with strong authoritarian inclinations: the circular logic that people in positions have earned the right to exercise said power because if they weren't worthy of it, they would never have gotten it in the first place. Criticism is the problem because it undermines the ability the authoritarian to execute his will.

I've decided for the best to no longer actually bet. But I still enjoy looking at those fun ones like this here.

This place is falling apart lately. Just thread after thread full of shit posting and endless rightwing idiocy.

What gives you this impression? Sounds to me like you have probably just been fatigued over time.

He'll always have a place in my heart for this gif doe.

Black Friday wasnt enough of people buying crap they don't need because it's $20 off, so they made another one in July

If you're smart and getting something you wanted anyway but held out til prime day? Sure it makes sense. Their firesticks are down to 15 bucks right now. Buying a 4k TV when you already have a 50 inch 1080 and thinking it's a good deal because it says $150 off while you didn't realize they raised the price $130 two weeks ago? Not so much.

All I know is my wife get a robotic vacuum cleaner for $150 which seems pretty sweet.

I went on there and looked at the deals. Crazy how materialistic people are. I've purchased one tv, one laptop, and one phone in the past ten years. And not a single one was bought new.

Used 46 inch TV for $150 4 years ago, and won't replace that till it completely stops working. Had two half broken laptops and when one died (screen went from 1/8 backed out to over half) did get a Costco black Friday deal on a cheap laptop two years ago to have one reliable machine. Phone wise i had an S4 for years now have an s9 I'll keep until it completely dies. I have none of the other techy gadgets (Alexas, tablets, smart anything) aside from a chrome cast because admittedly streaming things from phone rather than hdmi hooking up laptop is worth the $25 convinience (and I have a gen 1 version I got 4+ years ago)

The "ooh, this is a great deal" always leaves me like- you really need that thing? At most I'll get some some 40 or under thing I'd been thinking about getting anyways.

Gonna get ragged on by some of my sherbro buds here, but I see a lot of the gun culture very materialistic as well. The guys that have a large number of firearms, and there's a lot of overlap of the effectiveness of each and they just have to have another ar-15 platformed rifle with a slightly new or different feature.
