We do. House is too clean and floor is too valuable for random dirty shoes to come in and mess it up. We have disposable flip flops at the door for people who wear sandals into the house that don't want to be barefoot. No shoes beyond the door.

We're currently renting and therefore it is only a semi-rule, but once we move later this year this will definitely become a thing.

But the open season on short men is really fucked up. And people who legitimately talk shit about persons being short and think themselves better or more manly than them are generally just like women who expressly discount shorter men: shallow dumb shits looking for a way to delude themselves into feelings of superiority.

True story: I'm 6'0 but list myself as 5'4 on Tinder just to weed out the real cunts. And if a girl does publicly say something about not being interested in guys under 5'8, etc., I will talk mad shit to her and make her feel bad.

I get that girls prefer taller men but some of these bitches are fucking delusional, like these 5'3 midgets that say they only date guys who are at least 6'. If you're a woman and won't date a guy who is 5'9, literally the average height in the US, despite being shorter than him you should get off your high horse or at least off your heels. Flats look better anyway.

Also, for the record, men who put down or mock girls who are overweight should likewise be maligned....and guys like that tend to get ignored by women of higher intelligence and character.

And, as a caveat that you kind of implicitly acknowledged, I think it's slightly different when you're talking about women who just don't want men who are shorter than them specifically. Still, they should shut the fuck up about it and not advertise it, but I don't think it's singularly shallow to not want to date men who are shorter than you if it is a matter of your own insecurity about appearing tall or overly masculine.

Lol!! I mean I've always been very vocal about I'd never date a fat or unattractive girl/woman to friends, family, whoever. I wouldn't and never have. With her, she's very vocal (probably too vocal lol) that she'd never date short (in her mind a guy under 6ft is short) or unattractive men, or "broke" men. From her perspective, she wants a man she can feel proud of to show off physically and financially, and feels her value would be settling for less on anything under those bars. I don't see anything wrong with that for the most part, since everyone has their relationship do's and don't and physical appearance and success is a big one for both of us. I think most people would date highly attractive or desirable people in general, but not everyone can, so they settle for what they can get within their range.

Almost like car shopping. Most people would want that Tesla, but can only afford the Honda, so they get the best Honda they can. But inside, deep inside, they still desired that Tesla, but found a way to be happy with that 2011 Honda Civic.

Your wife is perfectly normal. All women want a tall masculine man. You won't get people in this thread agreeing with you because they do not fit the tall masculine frame themselves.

Hmmm, can't fully agree with you on bits and pieces here if I'm reading between the lines correctly.

Can't say I put down or mock women that are overweight, but only once in my youth dated a fattie. Tough man. I think it would be one thing for a girl to suck off a guy with a bit of a pot belly, but sticking my mouth on a fat girls cellulite sided crotch and thighs just really turns me off. And then I think there's a health/lifestyle aspect of it too. Being overweight is simply bad for you. It's to me like someone who doesn't want a partner who smokes.

Short people simply are just born that way. Overweight people, barring some chemical issues, can control their weight.

Finally, I would challenge that women are much less shallow than men. At a certain level it feels true because guys are always talking and stressing how hot a girl is, but from what I've observed in life, men stick with women who lose their looks a lot more than women stick with men who lose their jobs.

Why explain the guitar playing? Its their version of war drums, that's pretty much obvious when you first see him. I have not seen the other Mad Max films but as far as Fury Road goes I don't find their use of the oil that unbelievable. Presumably the little remaining oil is controlled by a select few who may or many not be responsible stewards of it. The oil would not have to disappear or even get close to disappearing for its dwindling to have serious effects on society. If we had some global catastrophe over climate change and a lack of oil its possible the remaining population would technically have an abundance of oil relative to their population even if its not nearly enough to rebuild civilization to what it once was.

And actually Immortem Joe's counterparts from gas town and the bullet farm even comment on how their chase is wasting too many resources just for a few women so that much is addressed in the film.

A pack of cars in gang like fashion with a guy standing on the hood riffing off guitar solos with an 8 foot high Judas Priest amp stack? LOL!!! That’s like war drums? Except it’s the silliest, impractical, farcical version of war drums ever. War drums can be heard from far away by stationary victims. This will be barley heard over the racket of a mass of engines by people already fleeing a massive amount of scary looking cars. And what’s more it shoots out flames!!!! Oil shortage indeed. It’s there because it was visually appealing for the viewing audience. Which is fine, but if the goal is some sort of internal credibility, this is a detractor.

Also would you look at the state of those roads they were on, better condition than Quebec after one winter. None of the cars make much sense, the weird chassis bolt on, the spiked cars that would destroy themselves, the pole vaulters whose cars would tip if they hit a big truck, the endless silver skull bling outs, etc.

The oil disappeared so much that society collapsed (that’s the back story). All the films are about finding oil. They may mention the resource thing, that does not change how much suspension of disbelief you need to engage in to pretend that a world that has ran out of oil and no longer has any modern fuel processing facilities is dominated by roving bands of vehicular bandits where every action scene is a car chase scene. It’s pretty simple to conclude that in a world little fuel, the one working oil refinery left would not be powering unpainted unsundamaged 2 wheel drive spiked chassis Mercedes big rig hybrids to chase down the super model breeders by non sunburned dessert dwelling albino jihadists that are not Muslims because they want to go the Valhalla.

And that’s just the start. Mad max as a character is not that compelling, Furosa roams free when the other women are breeding slaves (is she not skinny enough?), and the plot as an action film is a rehash of the older films. Furosa is also overrated (Sara Connor and Ripley > Furosa for female empowered action heroes).

As an aside the third film sucked but the first 2 were pretty compelling for the time as they were set close to the OPEC crises era and were novel as an action style. This film is like someone else said, a music video or a video game. I liked its lack of CGI compared to all the marvel stuff. I also thought the thematics were fun if not very campy. But it’s another remake, probably one of the top action movies that year, but still not a any type of movie game changer.
