God, I feel dumber just typing this out.

Basically, a big ban recently happened to white supremacist subreddits on reddit. Being the giant pussies they are, they couldn't be off of reddit, but they also couldn't stop y'know, being racist pricks.

So in order to try and get around it all, they created the fren subreddits as a form of plausible deniability. Frens are whites. Nonfrens are everyone else. "Nosefrens" are jews. "Bopping" people has about as much subtlety as "helicopter rides".

As an extension of this, "Honkler" was created to troll attention away from "Leftists tilting at frenly windmills". It originally started as another redpill-esque "enjoying the decline" form of nihilism, but Honkler has increasingly been adopted as a symbol for white supremacy by the same ironic shitposters who memed it into existence.

Here's a small sampling

Look bro, I'm a nerd, straight down to my DNA, through and through

But you are just taking this too far

@Lead A screenshot of a TV show is not a meme. Also, making cultural references outside of the context in which they are relevant doesn't make sense.

Picture with words used for a joke = "meme" in terms of what's removed.

I go where they take me, man.

If we don't treat it with the seriousness it deserves, then they're free to plan and plot unmolested, which is basically free reign to radicalize people. But if you look at it like a normie, you get laughed right out the door because you don't speak the language. As long as internet culture exists, you're going to need intelligent people to be on the bleeding edge, especially as millennials become our parents slowly but surely. It's a parallel world unfolding itself concurrently to our meatspace world, to ignore it is a fool's errand imo.

You're talking about Reddit, right?

God, right wingers are such fucking losers. And these are the morons that unironically think that they can meme and that the left can't (with that belief itself being a meme).

You don't need anything. There's no pause there.
Dash isn't necessary but would be a valid stylistic choice to indicate an appended thought.

It depends whether the author wants to indicate that both examples were in mind from the beginning of the sentence or that the second idea occurred after the first.

@Fawlty @luckyshot
To clarify, I'm looking at it from the standpoint of normal grammatical usage, but I see you're thinking of it in the sense of "I would go to Kansas for a shooting war--well, that or an abortion pick-up/drop-off." But in that case, I think the extra words are needed to keep it from being a simple this-or-that statement. I.e. if you insert an em dash, it will appear to be extraneous next to the word or, IMHO.

That one always killed me given that memes in the modern sense were literally created by the left on 4chan. Pool's Closed, Leekspin, Paffendorf, Lolcats, Milhouse, Duckroll, Party Vans, the goddamn Internet Hate Machine, all created by the "SJWs" that previously inhabited 4chan. Hell, many of us still won't call image macros memes, but apparently the guys posting frog pics and "informational" propaganda know better.

Like I said, they really think they're smarter than they really are. Couldn't tell ya who Wise Beard Man is, but they apparently know all the memes.

{<hhh]

Freaky twist of fate or subliminal suggestion? I mentioned earlier that the best country fried steak I've had was at the Black Bear Diner (in CA). So I looked them up and the two closest locations are like 500 miles from my house, and one mile from my house.

Must have noticed it subconsciously.

Most - hell, almost all - of the memes I see posted by right wingers aren't even memes, let alone ones with a modicum of wit. Just check out the Meme Thread.

The right managed to elect a meme president. They certainly know how to meme.

The swing between college grad whites and non-college grad whites always amazes me.

It's crazy how Trump voter base is so distinctly (a) white, (b) old, and (c) really fucking stupid.

You forgot (D) Russian.

No I agree with you.

Just failing miserably to be funny, like usual
