Only in America.

That third round with Green either shows the crowd affected the scoring or judges weigh takedowns far too much. If you take a guy down, they get up, you take them down, they get up, you take them down and you get up all in a minute span, sure you won the minute but there wasn’t much taken from that exchange and it all wasn’t offensive on your part. He lost three minutes of striking and they give him the round for that minute which is ridiculous. Luckily he already won the first two rounds so it wasn’t a robbery.

Speaking of Arnold, some kid droppkicked him at a meet and greet. He’s fine, thank God. Fucking insane.

What a dickhead.

Also, at 1:08 it sounds like he is screaming "Help me! I need an appletini!"

I really liked him in Good Time so I have faith.

I think the barriers are exaggerated at this point. Hillary Clinton was a cunt hair away from winning, you run that vote a week before or after and we might have a Madame President. Elections are such multivariate events, especially ones for the highest offices, that I do not think they are a good barometer for measuring this kind of thing. Certainly I don't think anyone would argue that India or Pakistan are better places for women merely because they have elected women to their highest offices.

JVS makes this point about the 2016 elections, that a lot of "lessons" drawn from it are perhaps a case of reading too much into a multivariate event that was really only some tens of thousands of votes in some key counties from going either way in a country of over 300 million.

I am not saying the US has no barriers for women or that its perfect here, I would just prefer the argument was made with reference to something a little more concrete than whether or not we have elected a female head of state which can have many factors behind it. Something like an annual survey of Americans asking about their opinions of women in leadership or a study into the prevalence of sexist attitudes among men in positions of power.

Sure, fair enough. I submit the source I provided earlier as one such. Good talk. :)

UFC HoF is mostly going to be
1. Did you hold the title, even just for one fight
2. Did you have a long career fighting top 10 fighters in the UFC

It’s not a low bar necessarily. I think it’s makes sense as the sport gets more mainstream with ESPN. Gives them an excuse to continually bring up past sport history which I think is the point of a HoF aside from the recognition. I was a fan of Evans and glad he got in. He phoned it in after the Evans lose imo but before that he was a prime LHW

But seriously though, why would anyone go to Taco Bell to start their fast?

I doubt anyone else here has fasted for Ramadan but something tells me most of you, if you had to go 15 hours without eating or drinking anything, would not think "I really gotta get some Taco Bell in before its too late"

15 hours? That's it? That's not even a fast. That's a sleeping in after an early dinner.

It's a ridiculously low bar. They will necessarily have to greatly lower their standards to maintain a manageable number of fighters in it.

So you think it had to be done or that it's going to be problematic in a few years with that low a bar? Kinda just feels like any champ will just get in unless they weren't in for a long time. I think they could've made it better but breaking up the wings was a good call. Only problem is the modern era wing is very watered down. Like Franklin, Bisping, and Evans all being inducted completely shows what this HoF is going to be. Bisping has one top 5 win in the UFC I believe.

Also, btw, after getting my tonsils taken out, I couldn't eat crunchy/solid food for like 10 days, and the first big meal I got was Taco Bell; come at me.

Why would anyone go to Taco Bell, ever?

For heterosexual men, the aftermath of Taco Bell is the foremost event of orgasm-level rectal stimulation.

I’m getting drunk tonight, before the religious nuts of the GOP ban it.

Also @Fawlty how would we classify strippers who give extra special lap dances and Asian body workers?

Eh, I voted “It’s complicated.”
