Yeah someone just made a thread on this. I'm not going to pretend that I knew who Neil was before the clip, but I looked him up after Shapiro called him a leftist that nobody had ever heard of, and his conservative credentials are.....robust. Rupert Murdoch hire, supported every major war including Iraq, climate change denier, supported the Thatcher/Reagan AIDS denial, longtime contributor to conservative magazines, Tony Blair and George W. Bush fan.

You can say that about pretty much every conservative talking head at this point. Although Dinny is one of the worst. But he does seem to really still cling to delusions of intellectual grandeur, so it's nice seeing him regularly getting pantsed by random tweeters.

That's not actually Bronn's child. She got pregnant from getting raped during the riots where Sansa almost got raped and was saved by the Hound.

Since now literally no one else would marry her, Sir Bronn of the Blackwater was a better match than they could have hoped for (at least on paper). And yeah, rape baby named Tyrion is definitely mocking Cersei.

It's been years since I read the books so I had forgotten that.

Like, show Bronn exudes that original NWO (I'm the bad guy but COOL" vibe. Book Bronn is a straight up asshole. I remember in the show when Tyrion asks Bronn to fight the Mountain for him Bronn almost straight up is like "I want to help you but I am not putting myself out there like that"

From what I remember from Book Bronn is response was akin to "I've got what I want, I'm a minor noble, I have my castle, I stand nothing to gain"

Show Bronn is the Netflix version of Punisher whereas Book Bronn is the "Slavers Arc" Punisher.

I felt like he was more blunt in the book for some reason. I know in the books he's far more straightforward than he is in the show and isn't nearly as sarcastic too.

Off the top of my head, Biden was a star HB/WR, Bernie and Obama were star PG's, Cory Booker was a DB at freaking Stanford, Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were both star soccer players, Fred Hampton (who may well have been the first black president someday if he weren't assassinated by the FBI) was a star center fielder.

Wasn't Harry Reid an above average boxer in his youth? Though to be fair towards the end of his time in office you could see the after effects of that to a point.

Never heard of Fred Hampton before this post. Given that he died at 21, that seems to be a really bold claim. But he seems interesting.

Whoa, seriously? Given your breadth of knowledge, I am legitimately shocked that you've never heard of Fred Hampton.

Anyways, prodigious doesn't even do him justice. He was deputy chairman of the entire Black Panther Party by the time he was 20 years old. Of all the figures in history whose lives were cut short by right-wing US forces and whose transformational potential was unrealized, my heart breaks for Hampton the most. Then Patrice Lumumba and Che Guevara. Then Thomas Sankara (although the US wasn't really a party to his death). It's really sad thinking about how he'd still only be 70 years old today.

They also have the self busing system there. People put their trays on the racks with tons of perfectly good food left over all the time. You can go any day of the week at lunch time and eat for free if you are so inclined.
