Yeah it's a mess.

But Gus definitely lost their first fight. He definitely won R1, but I had Jones taking at least 3 of the other 4.
I had Gus winning 1, 2, and 3, 4 was a draw, and 5 was JJ's. I can see giving JJ rd. 4, though he lost the first 4 minutes and visibly hurt Gus but didn't drop him.

Jones could drink the blood of a blind grandmother while non-consensually double fisting her so deeply that it looks like he's putting on a children's t-shirt, and I would still tune in to see the rematch with Gus.

Also shoutout to used book stores, who are absolute saviors when it comes to last-minute shopping.

The eye-test agrees with you, but there's no way to know the effect cheating had on outcomes, no matter how skilled he is technically. He could push harder than the next guy all through training, recover more quickly from nagging injuries, was stronger and faster than he should've been, would not fatigue as quickly, etc, etc. He doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. Also, Gus should have won the first fight.

I'm saltier than a single mom on fathers day rn. My coworker I replaced made $600 this morning and I've made jack shit.

So jokes on her, I'm going to get drunk on the clock. Tourists today asking the stupidest questions. Motherfucker just came in and asked if there are any restaurants in the French Quarter lol.

Frank Mir:

“In the spring of 2016, when USADA representatives sat in my Las Vegas kitchen and told me that the turinabol metabolite that they said I tested positive for could only have been ingested within a window of the past several months, I vehemently proclaimed my innocence. Having never failed any drug test throughout my career, I asked if we could go back further in the past to test any supplements that I could’ve taken, but they claimed that was both impossible and unnecessary.

“They were firm on their assertion that there was only a recent period of several months that would warrant any consideration. Now, little more than two years later, Jon Jones has tested positive for the same trace of the same banned substance, and USADA is taking the position that this same low level is in fact not a new ingestion, but something that could be the result of a residual “pulsing” effect that could potentially stay in his system “forever”. Further, they are now claiming that this phenomenon is something that they are seeing in other cases as well.

“This latest shift in USADA’s position would seem to suggest one of two possibilities…Either they are a) offering special dispensation to Jon Jones or b) they are second guessing and subsequently “revising” the presentation of their own science. Either scenario leaves myself and a number of other fighters whose careers have been similarly damaged by past testing claims to wonder what this says about USADA’s consistency and their tests’ reliability. Sadly, my accusation came at a time when the UFC’s partnership with USADA had not yet been subjected to the kind of doubt that now seems to further cloud it with each new instance of convoluted circumstances.”

Oh fuck Frank on this one, he was obviously geared up for a while there.

Isn't Mir the guy who said that he didn't ever lift weights but developed show muscles just from sparring and taking supplements?

So if a fighter previously put something in their system, their allowed to complain it was a long time ago even if it is present still in their body? I've heard the tainted substances argument but now we get "i could've accidentally taken a supplement years ago and there shouldn't be any changes to when I get to fight." Oh okay, then why even fucking test any fighter if you can not only claim innocence why you took it but also but able to claim it's still in your body from a long time ago and shouldn't count towards a ruling. If you take a potent drug like that, you are the one who messed up.

Merry Christmas from sunny, summer Australia folks

It's totally retarded and blatantly transparent

What I get pissed about also is people wanting a clean sport and then they sympathize with each fighter that uses these defenses and also criticize strong enforcement/ tests on fighters. It's a toothless statement to say you want a clean sport when you go that route. Fighters know at this point supplements can be tainted. None of these arguments should be valid any longer.

Oh', they definitely just opened Pandora's Box with this shit. Past suspended fighters are gonna be coming out left and right(not to mention athletes of all circles they oversee). I wonder if a lawsuit could be filed if fighters could prove they were suspended and lost money on similar doping suspensions.

Let them all take drugs like in the pride days

Not sure. He's got a huge frame so maybe he's one of those freaks who stays big just from jits and bodyweight exercise. But "supplements" certainly help lol.

Merry Christmas ya goobers
Hopefully it's Santa down the chimney tonight and not Krampus stuffing you into a large wicker basket
