Lots of attorneys aren't hip to local rules and procedures. The court clerk at a court I clerked at used to toss mistakes in the faces of attorneys who aggravated her. I remember working on one case where the guy had to refile his sentencing memo 6 or so times.

How many people live there? Hot showers probably your no. 1 energy hog, followed by whatever your forced air/heater system is.

There's a total of 6 tennants but 3 have their boyfriend/girlfriend over like 5 of the 7 days of the week so THEY practically live there too and one of those groupings there's a like 8-9 year old kid too.

The problem I think is every room has it's own heater that has it's own thermostat. So me and the dude next to my room are running with the thing barely over 45 to prevent pipes from freezing while someone else in the house might have it set to fucking 80 in their room.

That many people taking showers will blow up your energy bill. Hot water is typically no. 1, depending on the water heater efficiency. Sounds like you have cadet/wall heaters? Not the worst heat source but still on the high end. That many people running them, specifically turning them off and on a bunch, will hurt. It's much better to just leave them at one setting.

I basically passive aggressively threw out a group text like "guys, our PSE bill is just barely under $300... I can't cover anyone so if people can't get me their money you can all divvy up the late fees. Also, as a head's up... the bill jumped almost $100 from last month"

I'll have all my student loan debt paid off the end of this month and it already feels relieving. I probably will just start saving for a house with the lack of payments so it's not like I'll be getting a different lifestyle from it or anything but I'm big on the idea of freeing up your cash flow and sitting on some excess cash really helps get you ahead. I still have a car loan but I just got that car this year and expect it to last me a decade so no complaints there.

I still have student loan payments but it's like $60 a month as I'm on a income-driven repayment plan. Once my truck is paid off (only have like 8.5k left to go so hopefully in the next year if it goes well) I'll just start dropping like $500 to $1000 each month into my student loan.

There has to be otherwise shit like Body Mutilation porn wouldn't be out there.

I know there's a very minor dopamine release when you experience pain as the body's way of trying to help you ignore it but then some people get super into that feeling and before you know it they're paying someone to pour hot candle wax on them and shit.
 
So, I'm probably going to be getting a new job which means I have to quit/resign this current one I have...

How do 2 weeks notices work? I've never had to do one. Is it a simple sit down and chat with my boss to give them a head's up or is there some formal way I'm supposed to write it out?
