I am dying out of embarrassment for you on this one.

Why not just say, "hey, I was a kid 12 years ago and I pretended to have completed med school/residency, but now I actually am in med school," instead of this....or pretending that JVS is claiming you are a nurse/not in med school, as opposed to him saying, apparently correctly, that you claimed long ago to be further along than where you are now. I don't think he has any problem believing you are now in med school. I don't. You seem bright enough.

Btw, I have a really hot supermodel girlfriend, but she posts on another forum.

I don't have a problem with pictures, gifs and memes. This is the internet and that's a part of how we communicate, laugh, trash talk, interact and fight back. Because we can't talk face to face, see expression and tone of voice. It's also how we post comebacks at each other. We get some truly awful things said to us. People wishing rape, anal sex on us, talking sexually about my kid. There is really no other better way to deal with that than a picture, gif, meme etc.

I don't really see most of us as intellectual giants. Some of you guys are, but not me, I make my points, fight off the haters with pictures videos and gifs.

I can see what you mean as a matter of principle, but I am not sure if the ideal reaches the desired end.

In real life some rough and tumble interaction is good, however, when related to the internet a couple of questions come up:

Do most posters joke and laugh faithfully or divide into camps of enemies/allies?

Do most posters take jokes in good humor or hold bitter grudges on the internet?

As for all the full-on-rapists in the War Room, yeah there is a fair share of uncool people. Those are the rare times it is warrented to report someone.

It's a fair point though that most people are not hear for enlightenment or discussion, but ostensibly that is the point of the WR and what we might want to strive for.

Look dude, you've lurked almost every one of our exchanges. Observe how much he's obsessed with me being a nurse instead of an MD. He flatly refuses to acknowledge that I'm actually more educated than he is (granting that he even has an undergrad). Its painful to his soul, and its funny as fuck to seem him rationalize that fact. Okay, I personally think the kid angle would be less embarrassing than you being an adult claiming to be a doctor despite not even being in medical school until a decade, or close to a decade, later. But, regardless, I think that, at the very least, the "obsession" is bilateral, since you were repeatedly referencing him to other posters, saying what his posts would contain, and then tagging him.

As far as who is more educated, I'll give you the nod on the basis that I've never seen JVS claim to have any sort of degree. I would be shocked if he didn't have at least an undergraduate degree, but plenty of intelligent persons have chosen to forego advanced education, so anything is possible.

Also, there's nothing wrong with being a nurse. I've dated girls in nursing school, and the education is more challenging than people think, and the job itself is famously challenging as well.

What would an ideal theocracy look like in your estimation? A more fleshed out version.

As well, have you red Christianity & Culture by T.S. Eliot? (A robust argument against theocracy, but also on how Christianity can be more than the cornerstone and foundation of Western Civilization but also strengthen all the pillars of culture.)

I will give a rough outline. An ideal theocracy would be based on the Catechism of the Catholic church where there is a lot of emphasis on a fair and moral society especially when it comes to economics. That means using wealth, medicine and technology to work for human beings instead of human beings working for the aforementioned. It would not be too different from many of the ideals many civil societies strive for now like balancing equality and freedom, human rights, caring for the environment, but the big difference would be a stronger focus on Catholic education and limits regarding hedonistic and obnoxious behaviour. Growing healthy families would be crucial in my ideal theocracy. There would be much more influence from the Church on government.

I do have a copy of Eliot's book Christianity and Culture. I just have not got around to reading it yet.

Sounds pretty good but I have a few questions about it:

- How do you moderate the now ascendant Catholic majority from wanting to use their power to punish the minorities?

- How do you handle dissident groups?

- Does everyone have equal standing or do some groups have less rights due to their beliefs, or else have to pay say a religious tax for their troublesome activities in the society?

- How does Catechism apply to the realms of Law and Trade Principles without causing major disruptions and poverty in the society?

The questions are not for criticism, I want to see alternative approaches to how this framework might work.

I think the realm of rule and the realm of spiritualism are better as separate domains, but the more of the latter we have the better.
