I mean, you absolutely can. I come from a long line of hillbillies and I'm saying that even if you want to take that particular shit on them/us, it's not entirely true.

Gotta give props for a good ol' fashioned spit shine.

Yeah they honestly were already trying to pass the blame to the cleaning company that cleans their floors over night when they initially called me.
So, in other words, they're heartlessly fucking with you while they argue over who is to blame. :(

You're welcome to your opinion. Personally I'd say actual racism is at least a step beyond eschewing political correctness.

It's been pointed out to you how those things have important differences, but I'll answer. I figure those people feel rejected by society and are expressing it through hatred of other groups.

I grew up in CO so I wouldn't know. Are we talking hoisting a flag at one's home or rockin' a Skynyrd shirt? One would look pretty dumb and that's about it, the other would probably get a few compliments.
It's funny to me that like outright racism is now political correctness. Again, we know that flag flew for slavery. Your assumption of the nazi hating people (while also weirdly striking a tone of sympathy because they feel rejected?) is just you being politically correct! How could you know what those people think!? See how silly that sounds. There is no need to bend over backwards to protect the dignity of people who are at the very least proud of racist symbols.

Like, this music video it always amazes me how so many people focus on the stars and bars on his license plate or his ring (the second vid)

When there's nothing in his history that would make one think he is racist. That said, it is the flag of a group that lost a war. You won't see a Rising Sun Japanese flag outside of the maritime industry anymore as an example or the old Weimar Republic German flag with the eagle on it.

Upchurch, Adam Calhoun, Savanna dexter aren't racist, they just like the country life like myself.

Our nations founders were slave holders man. It's interwoven into our past. But intent matters. As I said to a lot of people it doesn't represent the war or a political philosophy at all. No they aren't just as bad.

Ask the next person you see flying one who the president of the confederacy was or if they know that wasn't even the official flag ..... you're average American is a fuckin retard and isn't even thinking that deeply about it.
I wonder why you are able to ascribe ignorance to them but I shouldn't ascribe racism?

I know a guy who has one hanging in his garage right next to an Israeli flag. Figure that one out.

Stayed with a Jewish dude whose band's record I put out. In his bathroom was the rebel flag and American flag hanging one above the other. Took a pic but don't have it any more. Didn't ask him what it meant, just figured it was humor/irony.

I'm also going to throw this out there, granted I never lived in the south.

I've ran into more people that generalize how I will act based on how I look or my skin color that drive a Prius than those that have a X- Stars and Bars flag someplace.

Agreed Greg. People lack thinking when it comes to the country living. Not all of them are racist.

It feels Ike a first ammendment thing to me. Regardless of how I feel I think people are free to express themselves and thats offensive to me so you can't have that and or think it kind of thinking makes me super uncomfortable

My dad is a psychologist at a very notorious prison. I grew up surrounded by stories about those people and took some work in the field too. It drove my interest more than repelled me.
I'm a paralegal in a District Attorney's office. I get to deal with people carjacking folks at gun point then when the victim almost hits them with the car as they run they go "they're lucky they didn't or they'd be a body".

Yeah, I don't need to read up on Gacey or other major famous killers out there.

No, I'm referring to people making a big stink out of the flag nowadays. How old are you?
People made a big stink out of Black people voting in the 60s. People made a big stink out of queer people being able to marry in the 90s. Progress happens, just because something was the societal norm doesn't make it right. I am 30. Why?

I mean im as "hill billy" "red neck" "white trash" as it gets. Grew up working the farm, live in the hills, been on food stamps, own guns, hunts, fishes, drinks miller lite. I think i get to judge my own kind as harshly as i want.

lol, this is actually endearing.

In a really weird twist, but racists and SJW-types ascribe some level of "whiteness" to Eastern Asian folks.
