Shogun with that old man tenacity. Like a scraggly bum just rushing you for your shoes, and eating every punch you throw at him.

*raises hand*

I was even thinking of just tagging you, ha. Be ready around the 11th / 12th. I like us running it right after the elections. The last two months of the WR are always good. Early november real elections, then WR elections, then WR Awards and general reflection.

anyone who says blowing into the cartridge didn't work is full of hot air

The whole reason they didn't work is dust or something got on the part that read the data from the game. Blowing easily could get dust off it to work. Cleaning it with rubbing alcohol almost was a sure thing if something more than dust was on it.

Was that guy just playing the boomerangs?

Lmao. In no way was that a draw. Fury waking up from that KO to keep fighting was some of themost heroic shit I've seen in combat sports.

Turning from the Fury fight to the JDS fight really showcased the skill difference between the two sports.

I've decided to get my micro distillery permit so I can start making and selling moonshine.

Can anyone break down what this means?

Microdistillery Permit: This permit authorizes the holder of a Class A retail permit to engage in the making distilling, blending, rectifying, or processing of any alcoholic beverage at a single location in an amount not to exceed 12,000 gallons during the licensed year. The holder of this permit is authorized to sell the manufactured beverages at retail for consumption on or off the licensed premises. However, this permit does not authorize the permit holder to sell the manufactured beverages at wholesale, or to any wholesale dealer, or sell any alcoholic beverages for transportation off premises to any other licensed alcoholic beverage retail dealer. All beverages produced by the microdistillery shall be taxed in the same manner and at the same rate as beverages produced by other manufacturers, as provided by law.

I'm confused about the selling at retail vs wholesale.

In simple terms, retail means that you, the product manufacturer or producer, sell your product directly to the consumer. Selling wholesale means you typically sell your product in bulk quantities to a “middle man” who in turn sells it to the consumer. So you can’t sell it to a liquor store or bar, you gotta well it yourself to the consumer directly.

TIL blowing into NES cartridges did nothing to help the games work, and actually made it more likely that it would have a problem. Not sure if slapping it did anything. Ditto for my favorite "trick," which was to push it down when it wasn't fully in, so it would go in and down hard, giving it a two-plane motion like a slider (the pitch).

Ed: I recognize that this information is about a quarter century too late to be of any practical use...
That post hit me hard in the nostalgia.

I don't care what anyone- or empirical evidence- has to say. Blowing into those cartridges was both useful and necessary.
fine grit sandpaper on the metal contacts.

Question for the WR folks.

I had to kick out multiple people from a bar this weekend. Among the people kicked out were a number of females and we had to break up a girl fight. Folks that have worked in a bar or been at a bar and seen a girl fight knows just how BAD a girl fight can be. We just grabbed them and dragged them out and 2 of them kept screeching like banshees:
"YOU CAN'T TOUCH GIRLS LIKE THIS!"

Now, as far as I'm concerned, my coworkers, my boss, the bar owners, and the cops we had show up to aid us in making sure shit didn't spill into the street we can use whatever force short of outright knocking people out and dragging their unconscious bodies out the club to get people out and to quote the police sergeant that we asked about this:
"It's a drunk person attempting to get you to let them stay"

I was told there would be a question

Yes.

I derp'd...

As far as anyone knows we can grab a girl say by the arm or guide them out physically right?
Grab in such a way as to maximize incidental breast contact. This is the whole of the law. Why do you think you're called "bouncers?"
