I learned cursive in public school in the city of Detroit. And yes, I am old.Catholic school or just old?
No way. Herring didn't have anything in his toolbox to bother Brock and was looking pretty washed up at the time. I thought it was a kind of pro-wrestling still enhancement match. Lesnar was like -200 but was undervalued. Couture was a legit test, but he was old, coming off a long layoff, and undersized (and had previously left the division saying that big grapplers were too much for him). That was one where we didn't really know how good Brock was so maybe he could lose, but he seemed to have all the advantages.
I called Brock's kind of unusually strong fear of getting hit after his fight with Couture.

No, I started Kindergarten in 1981, so I probably learned cursive in 84 or 85. I think it was third grade, but I don't really remember that well. Was it 1989
I learned cursive in the 90's. But by middle school no one used it anymore.
Magny got destroyed
Herring was a MUCH worse matchup stylistically than Couture. Couture was literally the perfect matchup for Brock: an undersized, slow wrestler that doesn't shoot and doesn't have any punching power.
I was very critical/suspicious of Brock, and even I thought he had Couture in the bag. Couture's only paths to victory were via 5-round point fighting by outwrestling a bigger and stronger wrestler or outboxing a faster and more powerful fighter.
I think both fights were a bit of a fluke, not because Lesnar won but because he landed standing punches. Lesnar's striking sucked and he got legit knock downs on both fights ffs. If the fight took longer I could see Lesnar getting hit and cowering in terrorI'd say the proof is in the results. Couture made the fight competitive up until the knockout whereas Herring got completely dominated from bell to bell. He got knock across the ring on the first punch and then spear tackled lol. Even with Couture's size and age his craftiness and technical ability was much more of a challenge then whatever Herring brought that night.
How good or bad is Santiago's ground game? He could've finished the fight with ground and pound multiple times. I was actually mad after the head clash because I thought he could lose due to a doctor stoppage after dominating the fight. He never looked competitive. Took longer than I thought though after the first round.
Dear Papist, the Roman Catholic Church was a mix of Christianity with Roman Paganism. The founders combined pagan festivals like Saturnalia with Christian doctrine to create Christmas, for example.
There is also that:
Do you know who loves teaching cursive, right? Catholic schools. The same schools were they rape boys and where people like Kavanaugh studied. By the way, look at the supreme court. All justices are either Catholic or Jewish, coincidence? Maybe, but keep an eye on it.
