Yes, understanding policy or recognizing policy trends....or just basically recognizing reality is "buying bullshit from politicians" -- not blindly supporting a party based on rhetoric and remaining completely ignorant to the substance of their policies.

No, ignorance is strength.

You're on the same side of the argument, and a completely unintelligent and factually incoherent one, for different reasons: @Captain Davis is being purposefully dishonest and ignoring obvious facts to justify his unjustifiable allegiances. @sniper is just repeating his shtick of putting his head in the sand to justify intellectual and political laziness: you don't have to care or try or alter your perspective whatsoever if you just ignorantly say "hey, it doesn't matter because they're all the same."

Also, @Captain Davis, you pettily saturated this forum with childish insults about Homer and then, when I called you out for your empty insult posts, you sent me a long-winded message defending your behavior. So, yeah, your faux-high roading is pretty transparent.
Well..... that was uncalled for. But ok!

There's a Sureno gang member in my coutroom right now... how exciting.

Not actually exciting.. it's 11:15 and I've been in Court non-stop since 8:30 and need to piss since about 10.

How do you post here while you're in court?

@Trotsky

Where do you buy ties for work? Most of mine came from Mens Wearhouse and are starting to show their age (fraying/wear spots) and need replacing but their shit isn't... well... it isn't inexpensive to be frank unless you get one of their Buy 1 Get 1 sorta sales.

Greg you can find quality ties at places like TJ Maxx, KOHLs, and Ross.
If you're more brand oriented try a Nordstrom's Rack.
Don't waste money on ties until you're rolling in cash.
A place to look for great looking ties that are a bit more money, but you can usually find a great sale: Jos A. Bank. They have amazing suit sales throughout the year, too.

I can understand the controversy on one hand, but if it's an arbitrator both sides g to voluntarily rather than going to the government for redressing grievances, I don't see a problem with it. I think family law is a particularly weak area of western law, so I personally would turn to my church to help me with serious familial issues. i can understand why a Muslim would want to turn to other Muslims for a semi-authoritative aid. But the government should not be referring cases to these arbitrators imo. If anyone becomes subject to religious arbitration, it must be wholly voluntary.
Off topic so I'm taking this to the Lounge @IngaVovchanchyn

As far as I know governments aren't referring people to these courts, the people themselves voluntarily go because they see it as a way of facilitating their practice of their religion. And in fact its arguably closer to the historical application of the Sharia than the compulsive application you see in some modern Muslim majority countries.

The one complaint about these courts that I've seen that makes sense is that in countries like the UK many immigrants, specifically women, know little to no English and aren't always aware of their rights and could be taken advantage of in these courts if they're made to believe that they're not voluntary or not made aware of alternatives. But I'm not sure how often that actually happens and even if it does I don't think that should mean these courts should be abolished, rather they should be regulated so that both parties are made aware before agreeing to arbitration that its voluntary and what their rights are as citizens.

Thrift stores are the greatest spot ever for Ties
I found the most badass retro UW Husky tie there @Gregolian

Lol this thread is always lit with arguments. Somebody pass me some popcorn!

Nordstrom Rack is the shit, man. Great suggestion. I usually get dope shoes and clothes at cheap prices there.

Thank you sir.

My biggest issue is length. Big a fat body I need a longer tie so it doesn't look ridiculously short.

Not surprised you found a Husky tie at a yard sale...

Can't speak for Trotsky, but my first set of ties came from Jos A Bank and my school store. Subsequent ties have been picked up here and there. Probably half of what I wear now was bought while traveling.
