Making mistakes is fine. Not learning from them isn't.

First, I'd say that it was obvious from way back in 2015 that Trump wouldn't take a loss gracefully. So one thing to learn there is just paying more attention. Another thing would be that he apparently thought that the question was out of bounds and only asked for some kind of nefarious reason. So to the extent that he thought that the questioner had bad motives, that should be reconsidered. To the extent that he thought that liberals were overreacting (or prone to overreact), that should be reconsidered. If his view was based on trusting non-mainstream sources more than real news, that approach should be reconsidered. This is why I like the Bet thread, BTW. People who have a good-faith interest in getting things right should make predictions, record them, and adjust their thinking in specific ways when those predictions turn out to be wrong.

The worst part of my job, aside from having to lay guys off, is tomorrow and thats standing on a roof of a building and constructing all the safety scaffolding, anchors and dropping cables and lifelines while its snowing.

Maybe, maybe not. If part of what he viewed as overreaction included a sincere belief Trump would somehow stay in office after losing the election then it's those folks who should be reconsidering things.

I want you to think about me tomorrow on your lunch break while your out in the snow and the cold and the wind and realize....I'll probably still be in bed under my furry jurassic park comforter in the middle of a beagle sandwich. Maybe if I'm really feeling ambitious the coffee maker might have just been turned on.

Its not even that, I just don't find it clever or funny. Like I said I like the Ghibli one because it took effort.

Memes in general are shit these days since they are so easy to make and spread that normies have taken over meme culture. Its the democratization of meme culture and it was a mistake.
