I just chuckled at this for about a minute straight.Like an asshole?
McCammon is good, I like his style. I've read Swan Song, The Wolf's Hour, Speaks The Nightbird, and The Queen Of Bedlam.I the spirit of the Stephen King conversation has anyone read any of Robert McCammon's work? He's very similar in style and content to King, and did some great work in the 80s and early 90s before retiring for about 15 years. He started writing again a few years ago, I was just thinking I needed to check out his newer stuff.
They are all good. Swan Song is a complete ripoff of The Stand, but it's a great read anyway. I like Speaks The Nightbird and The Queen Of Bedlam (parts 1 and 2 of the Matthew Corbett series) for the mid 18 century mystery style. He does a good job with the period, and the series is still going, I think there are 6 so far. The Wolf's Hour is set in WWII and is a page turner, I think I breezed through that one in one night.
As far as his new books I think The Border looks most interesting. Most of the others are parts of the various series he has going.
