Nobody claimed John Lennon was perfect, or anything....*looks away*

The funny thing is that John Lennon truly was pretty hood growing up.

Raised by a single mother, orphaned pretty young, and by all accounts pretty rough around the edges. He was the bad boy of the early Beatles. Epstein smoothed out their style and then years later, Yoko turned him into a softie (which was a good thing because he was a depressive, drugged out mess right before).

If the powers that be @Lead and @Ruprecht aka Sherdog wouldn't take my powers away, I'd like this post. Always love to see another Beatle historian who respects just exactly WTF they did for the future of rock.

Paul didn't have it much easier, either. Him and his brother were away on a scout trip at 14, and he came back to a dead mom. That's why John and Paul both connected, they both had that "dead mother" complex.

Let's be nice to each other and focus our energy on the politicians who proclaim they are feeding us but are really eating their corporate sponsored ice cream or selling shirts with oxymoronic phrases like "tax the rich" that are overly expensive. Or hibernating in their turtle shell for the winter.

Excellent, I love those HKs. I've got the Tubemeister 18, I used it when I played out in a side project band I play lead guitar in. I went through a standard Marshall 4X12 and it was plenty powerful. At any rate it's more then enough for recording and the direct out is superb so I get at least a direct signal and mic'd signal when laying down tracks.

Coincidentally I'm getting ready to head off to band practice so gotta go but we'll need to talk more about this kind of thing.

Yeah the big thing about the direct out is that you can turn off the speaker modulation. I bought the amp sort of by process of elimination as all of its competitors either don't have silent recording capability, or you can't turn their shitty analog IRs off.

I'd love to hear this thing through a 4x12. I run it through a 1x12 for day to day jamming, but I'll record it DI.

I gotta admit, those two screencaps along with your av fit perfectly at that moment.

Ha!

I love a good comeback story. And damnit, if this happens, atleast you can prove I was there before everyone else.

Wasn't he on heroin in the 70s?

He was on heroin in 1968. He and Yoko decided to get off of it because they saw all of their friends act stupid from it, and not make hit records. What a shock to him, right?

Did you finish your video game?
I finished a game demo and never followed up. ended up being a simple top down shooter, nothing special, but at least the artwork, animation, and code was all mine. Got a few hundred downloads. Shits harder than it sounds. I’m taking the lessons learned and building something new and improved as we speak. Much more rpg and story based, like we talked about.
You were in my game, by the way. You were the penguin shopkeeper “Cubo” who sold guns to the player. I’ll give you a link when I’m not on my phone.

Good for you on getting that far.

And thanks. No higher honor than that.
