War Room Lounge v194: It’s not the same rush as it was before

So Thanksgiving was last month for us, no turkey today. But my 7 year old son decided he wanted make pizzas from scratch. At his age I think I had mastered the grilled cheese. The boy did fantastic. Even went and got me a beer to go with it.

The only non vegetarian food I miss are my grandmothers cooking. He made incredible seafood dishes and one made Insanely good Italian dishes.
 
How ironic? Of all things, it was "The Homer Thompson Rule" that got Fawlty banned!

No it would not, just like you wouldn’t say I seated over there last week, it would be a sat over there.

There's a great french-language mini-doc about how Duck wasn't seared or roasted for years and years in classical cooking because antiquity didn't have the proper understanding of it's texture, fat content, etc and that they didn't have the proper equipment to "perfect" the protein. This is why they did it confit style for so long (which is still probably the most common way of cooking duck in my experience).

Love me some duck. Whenever i'm in a nice restaurant, if it's on the menu my eyes jump right to it. Never disappointed. I think given it's only so-so common that I never over eat it, adds to the experience.

“I’ll seat you next to your friends at the wedding.”

Anybody know Animal crackers name now? RR says happy thanks giving to him as well.

RR plans to come back soon. A deal on his salary for here is currently being negotiated, plus various apology threads.
