I'm flirting with the most attractive Iranian girl. Like so hot it makes me comfortable. I made an ass out of myself when I guessed she was Brazilian and eventually she told me she was Persian.

Brought up the 79 revolution, and talked shit about the CIA and immediately started talking about the Kurds because I'm culturally insensitive like that.

That spoiler fucking slayed me. That entire video is amazing.

My mom loved Vikings and she got hella mad at me when I asked where they showing all the raping they did lol.

I'm going to rewatch Mystery Team after I conduct some business this evening but should I try Vikings or Last Kingdom first?
Fucking Persian chicks, man, hotter than the Sun, good luck. Wife her up. We're blessed with a lot of Iranian immigrants around here. Pointy nose, high cheek bones, great arse, usually fit. Almost as attractive as Japanese girls, but I think Persians age better in general. Well, this is all in general. Lots of hot women all over the world, obviously.

And yeah, I'm drunk and high on a Wednesday. But it won me a pool tournament, so there's that.

Now, please don't make me beg anymore. Will you please post that video I have asked for over and over?

Aye. Vikings is a more personal story about Ragnar and his sons, and then it opens up into the Great Heathen Army. But it is almost like a quasi-prequel to The Last Kingdom, which deals with Alfred the Great's later years, and his eventual badassdom regarding so called heathens.
I love in Last Kingdom how Uhtred finally snaps and almost cuts Alfred’s head off.
“You treat me worse than a dog and expect me to serve you?”

Vikings

They picked literally the perfect actors for Bjorn and Ubbe. There’s a ton of debate about Ragnar and it’s likely he was a mix of a ton of different guys from history turned into legend.

Ubbe was always described seemingly as looking the most like his “father” Ragnar. Actor that plays adult Ubbe is perfect:

Ragnar Shaggy-Breeches (the actual name) is a semi-legendary hero in that, while his sons/wives/relatives/etc. can be found, tons of contemporary literature was around describing him, and we know for a fact that Bjorn/Ubbe/Ivar/Sigurd/etc. literally came over to England with the largest viking army in history to avenge their father's death - there is no actual evidence that he existed. Which is weird.

It made me so happy when I looked at academic sources to learn Ivar wasn’t a fucking cripple. Lol.

*wary ;)

Captain Pedantic sees weary instead of wary so often on here I had to do it, but at the same time I'd like to think it's because this is a running gag around here so please feel free to use that excuse. Otherwise it's just sad.

Don't be a nerd.

Also, it's because "Leery" and "wary" sound similar and people get confused, but Google doesn't put a red squiggle beneath "weary", so it seems normal and nobody questions it, until now. Fuckin' spellcheck nerd with your big brain n' shit.

Yeah, I had already read tons on Ragnar and his sons, and Alfred, the GHA, etc. going in, which didn't really spoil it since I was looking forward to those things - but it did ruin it because the History Channel decided to fuck it all up, and not be entirely accurate. I actually gave up during the 5th season. That's why I was surprised how BBC/Netflix were more accurate in their stories.

I’m stuck watching it to see how it ends. The way Bjorn and Ubbe handle Hvitserk being a fucking strung out addict is great.

By the way, in these days of "because X" and so on, I thought it would have been cool had you trotted out, "Don't be nerd." It would have fit right in with the modern vernacular.

Wary = to be cautious
Weary = to be tired

They are both words, which is why nobody is spell checking it for you.

Anyone besides me guessing Conor McGregor is having fits because he's too much of a manlet to be cast on that show?

@Khabib Khanate He's a good interview with Naguib as well. If you haven't watched Tariq Ali before, it may take a little getting past his slight pretentiousness and his remarkable lack of charm.

Edge from WWF/E had a decent role on there.

But yeah. Travis Fimmel is a short guy, but he bleeds charisma, which made it okay for him to play Ragnar Lothbrok, the legendary viking semi-god. Conor wouldn't make it past the casting couch ;)

A hush falls over the crowd. They are stunned beyond stunned. What even is sport, now that this has happened, do they ask.
Hey, gimme a pat on the back. I just won a single-elimination pool tournament.

I managed to beat the yips for one whole evening. Hopefully it's a sign of good things to come.

Nope. And it makes me so happy.

The guy known as Edge in WWE had a role on that show for crying out loud.
