I do think it’s hypocritical though when people who boycott Israel don’t do so for far worse human rights abusers like China.

The difference is that the US actively supports Israel's occupation and oppression of Palestine. Without the US's economic, diplomatic, and military assistance, Israel wouldn't be able to do half of what it does.

Not the same with China. Basically, Americans can affect Israel's abuses FAR more than they can China's abuses.
