I didn't watch the fight. I heard it was a very boring and uneventful night, and that Khabib and Conor hugged each other and buried the hatchet. This I why I don't watch. No rivalries. Just boring professionalism. Nobody ever stirs shit up. What a snoozefest.

Lifetime ban? I don't know about that. I think a stiff six to eight month suspension would suffice. That said, the UFC needs to get some control, and stop rewarding shit like this. I was called crazy by a few in here for saying that the UFC would use the bus incident to promote their inevitable fight. Oh' look, they did. While its only natural to use it for promotion, it sends a bad message because it was the biggest star in the company doing it, and he got a huge payday out of it, for what was sold as the "Biggest Fight in UFC History" in part due to all the craziness.

Let this one go, because I believe the UFC is partially responsible for creating the environment, but the UFC needs to make it clear that it won't be tolerated from here on out. If they're serious about it, anyways. I wouldn't blame them for loving the business it creates.

But Khabib is a 30 years old guy. There is really nothing that could excuse this kind of behavior.

Its gotta be tough for a fight promotion, that generates a lot of money with rivalries and stunts like that, to sell a real life rivalry where two guys want to actually kill each other.

On one hand, they should do the responsible thing. On the other hand...$$$$$$$

Both guys should be suspended, but if anyone should should get banned for life it is Conor. He tried to jump the fence, too, but was stopped by security. He hit one of Khabib's corner men while hanging on the fence, and another one that jumped in the ring before he got hit from behind. Plus the bus incident. The behavior is way more of a pattern with Conor than Khabib.

Yeah, its kind of an easy fix. Just fine and suspend the ever living fuck out of any fighter who hops the cage and goes into the crowd. Just make that a rule. Make it as bad as a Paul Daley cheap shot. Zero tolerance. Doesn't matter if you throw punches or not. The moment you run into the crowd, you're fucked. Punish them as hard as any other sport would for their athletes mixing it up in the stands.

But I am not trying to make excuses for Connor. He has done plenty of stuff that should have earned him a lifetime ban.
