Ah, the ol' gamer gate move. About a year ago I asked my friend, who was all in on gamergate (and pizzagate lmao XD) ''hey you know what we haven't talked about in like 4 years?....ethics in gaming journalism.'' Got eem!
I finally read about gamergate more deeply this year.
Holy fucking shit, what a disgraceful group of turds these young men are. You can definitely see the seeds of today's online environment sprouting from that "discourse."
Every time someone tried explaining it to me, my mind just drifted off. I can’t take shit like that seriously. All the problems in the world, and I’m supposed to care about ethics in fucking gaming “journalism”. Nerds.Gamergate is one of those things that apparently was very important to some people, but that I apparently found so uninteresting that my mind is incapable of retaining any of the details about it. I've probably been told 3 or 4 times but for the life of me I can't recall anything but vague male angst.
All these right wing conspiracies remind me of the shit we would make each other believe in elementary school.
“There’s a secret room in there, you have to knock on the wall in a certain pattern to open it up. Why do you think we can’t go in there?”
Stuff like that, all you need is a subject, an assumption and let your imagination do the rest.
