Well, working sucks.

Some weirdos enjoy it. For me, every day at the office is a day wasted. I feel like Ron Swanson does about wasting govt money, except it's my time at work.

LOL!!! What type of work do you do if you don't mind me asking? Vs, what would you like to do or prefer to do?

Wow haha. Yea, I can see that as a captain. I don't know if there's any way around it either, you still need a crew at the end of the day so you're gonna get it at a certain amount.
It was usually someone who was close to brand new that got the axe as everyone else knew "oh shit, Captain XYZ is getting on board tomorrow, fucking throw the shit out and don't touch it" and it was the newer guys like "nah, he won't do shit".

Two days later when they are getting close to entering the straits of Singapore:
"You're fucking fired, here's a plane ticket home, and don't let Singapore catch you with that shit"

That's hard to answer. As in, I have a few times, but the answer I typically have received I don't relate too. BUT, if you hear the same answer there has to be something to it, but it's hard for me to hear someone say things like "I feel overworked without opportunity" or something, when I see tons of opportunity". Or "I don't know if we are appreciated", when we're throwing money and them right and left lol. The answers never seem to match up with what's actually happening, and rarely comes from the highest performers.

But it does seem to be, according to you, half your workforce?

Did you ever ask one of these people why they don't seem to like what they're doing?
This is actually very true. Agree with all of it.

Nobody grows up wanting to be an accountant.

That's not to say all accountants hate there jobs (but, yeah we do).

That's why it has solid pay and there is opportunity to advance just by the fact that it's a large profession that nobody wants to do it.

But if those 2 things don't do it for you.... you probably got a some staff that are just grinding it out because they have student loans.... maybe student loan forgiveness would give you better staff

I work in STEM. I've got flexible office hours, can work from home when I want, get a raise every year, pension, benefits, a month of vacation, etc...

I would rather be at home building some new handrails for the deck or working in the garden, or brewing some cider, or just about anything really.

It did create some lol moments for YouTubers I watch that play Siege
"FUCK"
"What?"
"If we were on console I would have had that headshot"
"You suck bruh"

The potato aim moments when watching guys that are good fuck up with a mouse and keyboard is great.

Again, no offense because surely this sort of thing is really popular right now but these videos do nothing for me at all and I couldn't handle more than about 20 seconds before stopping it. Point being, lacking any context I have to ask, what's a potato aim moment?

@MMAisGod

My dad was a captain on an LNG ship. He would do his job in tours of 4 months (4 months on, 4 months off). The captain he rotated with was good at his job but a shit disciplinarian. Never failed when my dad took over within a day or two he'd have to fire someone for smoking pot in their cabin or walking around in flip flops or fucking smoking someplace they aren't supposed to on the ship.

Oh I hate the overly lenient types. I've been tasked with cleaning up crews and its a bitch once a culture has fostered (or festered).
Weak leadership just creates more problems for employees and management alike. Good workers who take pride in their work don't like working with shitbags.

It might not be in that vid but Grizzy gets what looks like a golden headshot opportunity on a guy and completely fucking wiffs cause he like jerks his mouse to the side like a dipshit.

To which all his buddies joke that Grizzy got distracted by food or something.

@PolishHeadlock2 I shutter to think how much money, through the primary and the general, has been sunk by the Democrats into the Kentucky Senate race. I got tons of advertisements for Booker/McGrath and now I'm getting tons of advertisements - probably more than all other Senate races combined - for McGrath now.

It's retarded

LOL I hate when that happens. I do that sometimes for no apparent reason and it's one of the reasons I never made a good sniper. But I'm by no means a good player, pretty sucky, in fact. Playing games like Day of Defeat and Counterstrike I always had good tactical instincts--e.g. I never saw anyone better (taking into account the skill the other players I would encounter) at getting in behind enemy lines to take them by surprise--but I am just so shit at aiming in a hurry and spotting the enemy in the distance that the majority of the time I would get killed before I could really do much damage.

Mind you, I still wouldn't want aim assist unless I was playing solo against the computer but getting potted over and over again sometimes takes too much away from the enjoyment of the game and I eventually gave up the idea I'd ever be any good at it. I'd still play something like that with a friendly group though.

Kinda makes sense to me because based on my experience a lot of time people do not understand why they feel the way they do. We're dealing with humans who tend to "feel" first then attempt to rationalize post hoc.

Of course there are people with legit reasons why they despise their job or boss.

But really i think it all just comes down to us as a species not being meant to work all the hours we do at something that we often can't really see the direct benefit from.

I mean if I worked 10 hours on a farm and fed my family and community with that food I would probably have a better sense of worth and meaning.

If I feel like if anyone would have gerrymandered himself into an invincible fortress, it would be McConnell.

Is this article accurate as you see it?

There's another moment where the group is playing CoD Warzone and Grizzy gets hit with lag and forgets to pull his parachute cord and from Blarg's viewpoint you just see him torpedo himself headfirst into a rock and die.

Those brainfart-y "stroke" moments are what makes gaming fun. Those "what the shit was I thinking?" moments.

Very cool. I love snakes. My wife is deathly afraid of them though.

Found a little guy in the garage getting cozy and had to pick him up and put him back outside.

Probably should have left him in the garage to keep the mice out.

They aren't as much fun when your game consists mostly of those and not so many of the murderdeathkill ones.
