Mesquite, from my reading, can be a little overpowering. Its use seems more limited. But they do make that variety of Traeger pellets so I'll try it out at some point. I've used kiawe in the regular grill before (since my yard's full of them).

Lesson learned, don't ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone for any reason ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been... ever, for any reason whatsoever...

Okay I have to share this one.

I'm sitting at a stoplight in a car I'm borrowing, and the owner left a damn bottle of Noir in there and it doesn't smell great. So I'm thinking about when the last time I even used cologne was, and what cologne I wore.

Coincidentally, a news radio program is on in the car, and it's covering Trump talking about hurricanes or some shit.

At the exact moment that I recall what cologne I last wore - and I mean the dead-on nanosecond of cognitive blink - when my memory recalls that I wore Eternity, Trump says the word "Eternity."

It was pretty sick. And now I think it's safe to say that he is officially in my head.

I am dangerously close to telling everyone at my day job to take a 12 gauge, shine it up real good, stick the business end up their ass and pull the trigger.

I'm imagining what it was that Trump said that involved the word "eternity."

"I love women, believe me. No one loves women as much as I do. But the problem with paid eternity leave is that it is too long. If a woman can take off forever to raise her kids. she will just keep having kids."

I believe he was talking about the death toll in Puerto Rico, it was awkward.

I give up. Why the shine?
I'm basically being used as a gopher do everything for everybody with no financial bonus for it and my fucking department head is a lazy cunt fuck.

EDIT:
I was working in a reference to The Rock.

Plus, she'll leave her husband and move to Eternia. Very bad for families.

The jerky turned out kick-ass. I cut it a little thicker than the 1/4 recommended. There's only a hint left of the spiciness from the jalapeno and thai peppers. Lots of smokey flavor. Plenty sweet. Might be over-salted a hair is the worst I can say. The flank portions were cut a little thicker than the tri tip. Smoked the flank longer and it still came out a tad more moist. The tri tip was mostly dried out and it feels more like jerky, but I kinda like the moisture in the flank. Better flavor on the tri tip though. Not sure if that's because it wasn't frozen and the flank was.

Easy-peasey. Great results. Everyone should have a smoker. :)

Gotta ration. :(

Next up is pork ribs, smoked shanks/hocks, and salt pork for a nice Feijoada. Or whatever's at the grocery store along those lines that sounds good.

I did watch Jacob's Ladder last night, so maybe I'm just confused. No worries, thank you for checking - I appreciate it.

Very underrated film.

They're planning a remake of it next year, as a part of Hollywood's ongoing campaign to sully the name of any suspenseful film that was ever made.
