You will figure out of to tow the line. There is an art to being a bit off topic and naming calling here with. You just gotta figure out how far you can go with it. As long as you arent trying to avoid the topic all together and can tie in what you are saying, the mods a generally pretty forgiving. Certain subjects and words are a no go. Hope you keep blowing the WR up.

I don't intend to blow up the WR. I was here when the WR was created and loved this fine sub-forum. Internet Savage, if I remember his name correctly, and I were tearing up the place with a few other notable posters, like @Gregster. Eventually things changed for the worse and hatred spread like a wildfire. I took refuge in the DUMP which was created for those who were creative and needed a secret sanctuary. Now the DUMP has been defiled by WR censorship as WR threads are sent to the DUMP like it is a garbage can. All the regular posters there are gone. It is a shame.

I have no problem with the mods. The Dog is about as good as it gets so how can I complain? I have a high tolerance for bullshit so when I'm here dinking around, I'm in my element and enjoying the show. I like the people who post here too, even the hammerheads, trannies and clowns. And then you have the aliens. Those mangs are my favorites.

Just read that article you linked in the other thread, pretty interesting stuff. I actually haven't read all that much about early Islamic history and the exploits of the Prophet(PBUH) and his companions as a good Muslim should. Much prefer to read about more recent Islamic history, like the Ottoman era, because of the extensive records that have survived which allow historians to paint a clearer picture of the social history and everyday life of the people who lived then. Stuff like divorces and inheritances and property ownership, all that is neat to me.

But I do know Khalid was a badass, you don't get the nickname "Sword of Allah" from the Prophet otherwise. I tend to read social history more than military history but I do like reading about a good battle and I'd like to read more military history and learn more about medieval/early modern tactics. Finished watching a show not too long ago where that kind of stuff featured prominently and it really sparked my interest in that kind of thing.
