True. I imagine it's kind of a chicken and the egg thing. I was pretty surprised to hear people describe how much prettier she is in person though.

I'd imagine a lot of it is psychological. It's like a poster coming to life. Even though they're just regular human beings, if you're not used to being around them, that "star struck" shit is for real.

I had a co-worker at a restaurant I worked at when I was 18 who used to work for Diana Ross, and he hated her with a passion and said that all her employees did.

That's different though. They were familiar with her, and had a working relationship with her. I'm just talkin' regular folks who happened to be around them on some night.

I would also imagine that most billionaire super celebs can be absolute cunts to their underlings.

Anybody else watching UFC: How to Take Down Carla Esparza tonight?

Sounds awesome. never made jerky, you gotta put that in one of those dehydrator doo-hickies? Or just smoke it?

Doing it in the Traeger smoker. Parents made jerky a few times as a kid and it was good. Think I did some once in the oven about 20 years ago. So I really don't know what I'm doing. :D

Try some pineapple juice. The acidity works really really well, especially when paired with the salinity of something like soy sauce.

The dried pepper is a nice touch on your part. Im a fan of dried chipotle for jerky myself.

Thanks. Saw a recipe with pineapple juice but I thought Coke would be good for the flavor.

I assume the Coke is for acidity. Seems interesting. I'm a huge beef jerky guy myself but solely as a consumer (favorites are Dan Hamilton's peppered and Catanello Bros--various; Tengu is back but not quite as good as it used to be). Never made it myself.

Yes, Coke for acidity. So far this isn't much of a process. Took about 10 minutes to cut up (partially frozen helps) and another 10 to slop together a marinade. Anticipating about four hours of smoke time, but it's electric so I don't have to worry about watching over the temperature.

L O L I have not played vids in a year, then my bro convinced that VR was so fun I bought Skyrim VR recently, dork.......

I hear you.

I haven't played a video game or computer game since 2004. I decided to retire until around age 60.

The only exception is sometimes when I get food poisoning I'll play a flash game to bide time.

He demonstrates one of his cross body finishes from which you can get the idea in this video.

edit: I would always view going for the armbar as being a small victory for your opponent. The way Josh teaches it there is constant pressure and control. He can't get up because you've got a scissor lock on the guy's head. he can't turn one way because you can cross body pin him with his own arm, he can't turn the other because that actually kinda puts him into the hold. He can't hold on because you can dig your elbow into the guy's ribs. Whenever I lost the position it was because a.) my opponent was wayyyyy better than me, or b.) I went for a neck scissor/arm bar.

Pssh, I would just karate-chop my way out of that with my chi energy.
