Sheeeeeeeit, the job just told me the earliest we're going to be back in the office is July 2021.

<JonesLaugh>
Yeah, my company said some shit like that too recently. Although a lot of people including myself have been coming in at least a couple days a week and some every day since this whole thing started.

I think they were referring to having everybody back in everyday.

Bill Burr a few months back did a rant about house painters and how unimportant their jobs were. He then got emails for months from painters pissed off explaining how hard it was. I feel like that should be it’s own genre of trolling. Throwing out how easy someone else’s work is.

I have a feeling that I wouldn't find that to be nearly as funny, both because house painting seems less comically simple on the surface than a lot of finance jobs and because finance is a really broad profession that encompasses a lot of pretty unskilled bourgeois dudes who think saying "I work in finance" makes them Gordon Gecko.

Does this happy you?

Does the pope refer to himself when he's busting a nut?

YESSIR

Shit bruh, I ain't going to the office for a damn thing. They can eat my entire ass. They're making the right decision for once.

Luckily SLC and the surrounding area is growing so I imagine I would be able to find something.

Well it's growing, until it's not. Time has a way of doing that to you. That's all I'm saying, you gotta be in it for the ups and the downs. Because the downs will happen and you should be prepared for them to happen sooner rather than later.

For example, let's say you own one property, buy a second and find a renter for the first. The imagine something wild that would never happen happens, like a pandemic. Your renters lose their jobs & can't afford to pay your rent, you can't find new tenets - but you still have to pay your mortgage. That's why I'm saying you gotta be in for more than just a check. That's all.

LOL, well I support operations and R&D area so I kind of have to go in at least part of the time. The production workers, Lab Techs and engineers all have been coming in five days from the get go. I have to be there at least a couple days a week to do my job.

My plan would ultimately be to be able to afford the mortgage on whereever I am living and the rental just helps offset it or is a nice little bonus on top each month but that my full time job is what I use to pay bills and shit.

Here in Orange County that would be about 1.3k a month to rent

I'd hope you also would be able to defecate in your free time.

We got told two weeks ago we likely will be on our modified work from home with minimal people going in till at least April or May of 2021. Which all employees took to mean "we are doing this until next fall"

I don't get it. She looks the same but just got older and put on a little weight. She doesn't look bad by any means. I always thought she looked unhealthily thin when she was younger.
I'm not on some mission to disparage JLH but she seems very oddly proportioned, and that's more than a little weight. To me she looks like a perfect fit for the inside of a 70s Godzilla suit. Her hands and head don't look right for her body to me. I like women whose head is bigger than their neck. She probably was unhealthy trying to maintain a thinner appearance in her early career though, I agree.

Also, you shouldn't encourage creeps like The Scorpion fawning over female politicians and implying they're only popular for their looks. Best not to even give them oxygen.
OK your opinion on @The ScorpioN is noted but I never got the impression that our exchange was anything with any political depth, just a goof.

If you want to delve into it deeper though, I would say there is little to no doubt that a politician's (or any person's for that matter) success is affected by their physical attractiveness. It's definitely a significant component of human nature.
