For every few that's good you have an army of terrible horror movie remakes and reboots. Probably the worst industry that does it.

Poltergeist (lololol)
Friday the 13th (lol)
Nightmare on Elm Street
Halloween
The Omen (lol)
Day of the Dead
Carrie (lol)
Psycho
Whatever else I'm forgetting off the top of my head

Horror remakes/reboots are doodoo most of the time man.
They still make money.

There's a lounge thread? Why the hell am I only learning this now? I think there should be one in the Mayberry too.

Friday the 13th - $92.7 mil on a budget of $19 mil
Rob Zombie Halloween - $80.4 mil on $15 mil
Nightmare - $115.6 mil on $35 mil

That doesn’t mean they were any good lol I went opening night to ANY horror movie once I was old enough

Hell I made an older sibling take to horror movies when I was too young as my guardian.

With your size the movie ticket people probably thought they were trying to bring a baby in

With hands over my eyes for scary parts.

Funny enough I saw nightmare on elm street twice, and still jumped a t few scary parts. I think I was most disappointed at the lack of Robert englund, and I love Jackie Earl Haley....it’s Kelly Lee from bad news bears!

I made Sam (older brother) take me to scream 2, he just didn’t shave and lied and said I was his daughter.

he’s only 12 years older.

Holy shit I legitimately had no idea that they had remade The Omen or Poltergeist.

The latter was always Disney-horror to me but the former freaked me the fuck out as a kid. The original Omen series was really creepy as I recall. Decades later I still see Sam Neill as Damien Thorne.

Poltergeist suuuucks.

I just don't get why Spielberg gets so much love.
